Well Mitt didn’t say, “there you go again”, but all of us get to say “Romney is the smartest man in the room”!

I’m sure it’s been mentioned else where on the board..but if Santorum doesn’t say something about the “25% tax” on manufacturing business that O pulled out of his hat...he needs to. That was part of his campaign and I’ve never heard O say anything about it before.

Now for the big question, will there be a second or third debate? I wouldn't bet money on it but I think Obama will find some way to weasel out of them and I'm not discounting starting a new war as an excuse. May have to play his October surprise early. Thoughts?

Agreed. I wasn’t for Romney in the primaries, but it looks like Ann Coulter was right. Romney has to be way up on the IQ scale, and is worlds better of a candidate than McLame. I don’t think any of the other republican primary candidates could have done what Romney did tonight. That was a damned impressive display of mental discipline, high level reasoning, and coherence of thought and expression.

That is the sad, depressing fact.
But after tonight I wonder if O really wants to win.

Both my wife and I are very concerned about your suggested outcome. In fact, to us it looked like Obamma simply didn’t care about the debate tonight. Kind of like he thinks it probably won’t matter once he unleashes his October surprise. Hopefully, we have military generals who have some fortitude to constrain the power hungry man at the switch.

Although obama would probably prefer to weasel out, I don't see how that would be at all possible at this time. Even starting another war, which is is perfectly capable of intentional or not, can't make him appear "Presidential" after tonight. The only way he can try to repair this is in another debate in my opinion.
Oh look, debate is starting over again on FNC, I think I'll watch again!

It isn't over. The media is in shock, but it will only take a day to start a counter attack. They will feel they have to win the election themselves and drag Obama over the finish line, and they are shameless enough to do it. New media cannot allow that to happen.
Agree with you about the media...IF we had a fair media, I would be much more optimistic about Romney's performance. But the cynic in me is screaming to be very cautious about a big rope-a-dope...

Still two more debates to go
You know, I just have a funny feeling that there might not be two more debates.
A “world crisis” for which the POTUS needs to direct his full attention?
One thing we know for sure: Date night is over! Worst, Anniversary. Ever. Duck Bambi. here comes another plate.

Can't be. Newt's fans club on FR (as well as the mainstream media who sold them this argument) already “explained” to me during the primary that Obama is such a slick and charismatic speaker that we're DOOOOOOOOOOMED against the telepromopter-in-chief on the debate stage if their guy isn't the one debating him.

If O ducks out of future debates due to world events...I pretty sure my head will explode.
Given his actions after the Libyan diplomat killing event...when he traipsed off to Vegas for fund raiser.
But you could be right. It would be something he would do.

I’m not one of Newt’s “fan Club”...but I would still love to see Newt debate Obama.
Won’t happen in my lifetime..but it would be fun.
Like I said, Mitt did an excellent job.
