...Republicans are befuddled when they see Obama leading among voters. One common explanation is that the polls are rigged. And while theyre no doubt flawed and the race likely closer than they indicate, its unreasonable to think Obama isnt at least slightly ahead of Mitt Romney; moreover, if Romneys internal polls told a different story, hed certainly trumpet them.
...The other common explanation is that Romney is a poor candidate, too ideologically weak, too stiff, too blue-blooded, and too hard to connect with. But to whom are we comparing him?But this is scary to consider. Its more comforting to talk about Romneys or the GOPs faults, which are easy enough to find, and believe our problems lie in our wanting political stars, not ourselves. Why, all we need is the right candidate a true conservative! We need bold leadership in the GOP. Or it could be, We need a vibrant third party. Its a nice dream. But Where are all the leaders? is the wrong question; it should be, Where are all the followers?

“Not exactly uplifting, but it’s what we need to know.”
It’s what we need to take to heart.
I don’t think we have reached the tipping point, but we are really close.
The problem is Romney.
Anyone with half a brain knew Romney would be the WORST candidate. Thus the ABR (anybody but Romney) movement in the primaries. Unfortunately we couldn’t agree to all get behind any one candidate and let Romney divide and concure us.
Now we are reaping what GOP insider sowed in the primaries by pushing this milk toast candidate on us, when we could of had a once in a life time leader like Gingrich as our candidate which would of destroyed Obama utterly.
I keep my eyes wide open and have studied this stuff for a long time; I know what reality looks like and I can admit it when my side has lost. Here is my own way of saying something similar to what Selwyn Duke wrote. I have posted the following here a few times since 2008:
______________________________________________
America is dead and gone. The final nail in the coffin was the 2008 election of an African communist as President of the United States and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces. America had a great run. I will remember it fondly for what it was, but see no point in hanging onto the past.
The United States of America is now little more than a land mass populated by cretins, ingrates, and parasites who have absolutely no respect for the military and who vote for big government to confiscate money from their neighbors so that it may be redistributed to them in exchange for their votes. It is not an America worth defending anymore. That America no longer exists.
The parasites outnumber the hosts now, and theres no going back. America is dead.
The Democrats have won.
Nothing lasts forever (shrug) and theres no point crying or whining about it. My recommendation to every decent human left out there is to throw some cold water in your face and proceed to Plan B. Figure out how to grab every government dime you possibly can before the parasites who comprise the Democrat party base gobble it all up. Look for angles. Look for refuge. Hide what you have. Get under the radar and game the system. Every man for himself.
Good luck, everybody.
“.. its unreasonable to think Obama isnt at least slightly ahead of Mitt Romney; moreover, if Romneys internal polls told a different story, hed certainly trumpet them.”
Completely disagree. It’s not only reasonable to think that Obama isn’t ahead, it’s completely logical and reasonable to have serious doubts that he’s ahead. The only indicator that we have that he isn’t losing this election are polls that are incredibl skewed and based on a previous election that had over the top Democrat participation. What’s unreasonable is expecting that same level of participation this year.
This election is not in the bag, but this just looks at another hit piece.
this is extremely laughable...and beyond sheer stupidity.
a campaign wouldnt even reveal their internals to the candidates mother.
and by the way, one could certainly say that the motives for posting threads like this are legitimately suspect at the very least.
The only case where a major party was deposed involved little more than a decapitation of the Whig national committee followed by the creation of Republican state committees formed by the Abolitionists, and whatever Whigs and Democrats who were finally willing to go along with the Abolitionists.
That's how we got the Republican party.
The same trick should work again ~ create a New Republican National Committee and invite the states to send their state chairmen to the NRNC first national meeting.
That ought to pretty much bust up the NRC and their running dog lackeys.
First, a new rule book that sets out to protect the franchise and end the lock the professionals have on what passes for Republican ideology at that point. The way I view this the Socons, Fiscalcons, Countryclubbers and possibly the business interests will need to each have formal internal caucuses that have a veto on candidates for President ~
I genuinely LOLed at this one....I may stop laughing sometime next week.
Gingrich would be behind 20 points right now.
I feel insulted: I escaped socialist nightmare and you won’t find better cure for commie delusions than actually living it.
Don’t blame immigrants - blame your own naivete and apathy, that allowed corruption of your youth.
He’s not losing.
You are not getting into the spirit of it. At this point, we are supposed to scream, cry, run around in a circle, and wet ourselves. Then we’re supposed to plan a trip to the ammo store to stock up before the zombie apocolypse hits on November 7.
Long editorial, but cutting through it he blames it on the voters. He uses the words culture, media, etc, but he means the voters. Its a bit early for that. its like the Romney 47% rule. Dont count your Dem votes until they vote.
It seems the other TNA posts today were claiming the polls were fake and Mitt was winning. Would that mean this writer is wrong? Or that the bad people just wont vote?
Gingrich would of had Obama wetting himself at the thought of the debate tomorrow.
A lot of truth in 500 words.
When Ronald Reagan’s internal polls showed him with a noticeable lead, he did not trumpet them. Why try to fight the media when the ultimate answer is showing them wrong on election day?
A friendly word of fraternal correction: Learn to love doing the right thing more than you love your operatic discouragement, and your desire to score rhetorical points against what has happened to us . . . in other words, against God. There are no Fates. Reality is Christian. What happens depends on our action (and God's intervention) every single day. Your patriotic brethren need you. Shut up and fight.
People (remember there are tens of millions of people voting, not just you) primarily make their Presidential choice based on likeability.
Gingrich had a massive gender gap WITHIN the Republican primary electorate - Romney has a big gap NOW in the general electorate, but Gingrich's would have been titanic.
Gingrich would have been savaged by the media ten times worse, and the all of the "asking for a divorce/open relationship over the phone" stuff would have annihilated him in the general far worse than it ended up doing in the primaries.
But hey, if you want to live in a delusional fantasy world that Gingrich would overcome that with a few debate zingers, go right ahead.
by the way, "a thousand teardrops" is some great music.
“must read” ping
