The identities of the agents were not immediately released, but the shooting occurred at the Brian Terry Station near Naco, Ariz., which is just south of Tucson. The station was named after an agent who was killed in the line of duty in December 2010. The area is considered a remote part of the state and sources tell Fox News that the shooting occurred about eight miles from the border.

This is devastating news for that Border Agents family, Jamie Zapata family and Brian Terrys family,
...Most people believe that REPUBLICAN President Bush initiated what is commonly known as "fast and furious," and that being the case do you agree that REPUBLICAN George Bush is responsible for the recent shooting death of a bordr patrol agent and that Bush and the REPUBLICAN party should be tried for murder?
oh NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
just local “breaking news”
KLBJ in Austin has been talking about this today. Mitt needs to be all over this issue, along with the fuel prices.
Prayers for the Agents and thier families. My son was a BP Explorer out of the Naco Station. It is about 20 minutes from my house. Know alot of the folks stationed there. Not that remote at all, like the LSM reports. I guess saying it’s a “remote location” is supposed to make it less serious...
Another bump in the road. Nothing to see here. Got to make my next appearance on a daytime reality show.
He died defending the nation's Cheetos supply. It's past time to end the War On Drugs' senseless waste of human lives.

LOL !
Another Fast & FURIOUS MURDER... Thanks Holder & ZERO!!
But that was WWII.
Thank you SwinneySwitch for the ping.
Are you nuts? This agent died defending the borders of the United States of America from an unprecedented invasion. Don't even go there with me. I am the mother of an BP agent. You have no idea what you are talking about. This agent's life is not so cheap to me as to make such an off-hand comment that he was wasting his time patrolling our borders. Contraband is contraband whether it's dope or something else. Sheesh!!!!!

So you think it's sheer coincidence that this happened near a major drug corridor?

That's not what I said. I said a priceless human life was wasted trying to prevent the entry of disapproved mind-alterers (while any adult can perfectly legally get drunk as a skunk).
Contraband is contraband whether it's dope or something else.
Some contraband should be reclassified (through changes in the relevant laws).
