When I used to work in the Government contracting business fines and penalties for not followng the law were classified as an "UNALLOWABLE COST" and could not be billed to the Government in any form. New era folks working under the lawless Obama admin.

Sooooo, does conspiring to break Federal employment laws count as “high crimes and misdemeanors”?
If no, why not?

Thus Obama reaps another windfall from the Big Lie that he has the election in the bag.
As a Government contractor Lockheed is no doubt terrified of crossing him. If they do and he wins again they are SOOOOOO SCROOOOOOOOOOOD.
To: Cheerio
the Obama administration has offered to cover expenses (court-ordered penalties, severence costs, etc) for contractors willing to ignore the WARN Act sounds to me like someone is committing a felony.

Lockheed employees should prepare a class action suit against the company and inform them that they will proceed with filing if the company fails to issue the WARN Act notices on Nov 2nd as prescribed by law.
Even more fun...100,000 individual law suits against Lockheed for failure to notify on time.

Similar to the CRA where gummint told banks to make risky loans and that they would cover it if the loans went bad.
It is not the gummint’s job to be the “insurance agent” for people doing illegal or stupid things?
Funny if Romney prosecuted them when he wins and tell them all obama agreements are off since they are illegal.

Hopefully their shareholders are ready to file suit against them, should the cuts actually happen.

"Obama administration has offered to cover expenses..." Sure, just like they covered the costs of all those campaign visits to cities around the country ... I can't remember how many cities got stiffed on security, overtime, etc... costs because Zero wants to blow in for a few hours.

On the other hand, until they announce which programs are cut, and until they can be sure Obama isn’t going to win, what contractor is going to go against them? Obama has shown that he will use the naked power of government against his enemies.
Seems like if you don’t want your programs to be the ones on the chopping block, you better take the bribe and keep quiet.

Another fine example of how un-capitalistic the American economy is...at least to those of us who actually know what capitalism is.

I got nailed on Friday, 28 Sept, after 15 years for the same defense contractor. It’s going to get really bad, for many. I saw it coming, and freshened up my skills, and expect to not be out too long, but am prepared for almost anything.
