At Triangle Elementary School in Mount Dora, students shuffle through the lunch lines loading their plates with pears, plums, pizza slices and fruit slushies.
At the lunch tables, many devour the cheese-and-mushroom pizza, guzzle their milk but leave whole pears, ripened plums and the slushies destined for the garbage.

“My son was always hungry when he was growing up. He played three sports...”
My mother frequented, and was a friend of, our small town butcher. The man was wonderful. When I started dating his ex stock boy, the butcher would always ask my mother if “he” was coming to dinner to advise her how many pounds to buy. It was a running joke for years. “Normally, but if if Rick is coming....”
I did that in 3rd grade, decades ago, and the teacher shook my milk carton and told me to drink my milk before I could go to recess... the "milk" was my uneaten beets.
Once the resistance is broken, they can doctor up food with sedating, long term medication or even advanced birth control methods (when developed) without the population knowing. It can be selectively applied upon unfavored population groups. After all, they did force the anti-cancer drug on pre-teens.
LOL! This story could have been printed word-for-word as an accurate description of my school cafeteria in the 60s. After school we’d walk home and stop at a convenience store for Snickers Bars and Yo-Hos.

Make it mandatory that anyone applying for food stamps take such a course. It should also be emphasized to recipients that food stamps will pay for fruit, vegetable, and herb plants and seeds for growing your own.
I know all of this because I did have an EBT card for a while up until May 2011. My husband and i were busting our butts with odd jobs and selling my canned goods to keep a roof over our heads and our daughter fed and clothed. It was demeaning. I fully admit taking advantage of it because it freed up some cash so I could keep supplied in canning jars and freezer bags.
but I also stopped it as soon as I could - but had to do that by cutting up the card and sending it back because they insisted I was still eligible even when I no longer wanted it.
I apologize for my rant - but it infuriates me to no end that there is no accountability for those taking government handouts. I will never forget the day in the checkout line when I was ridiculed by the cashier for buying all of the ingredients to make lasagna from scratch with my EBT card and coupons and told I should do what the woman in front of me had done which was buying frozen Stouffer's lasagna. She had bought 5 family sized ones @ $14.99 each which fed her family of 3, 5 times. I spent $26 and was able to make enough lasagna for 10 dinners for the 3 of us with leftovers, and 2 more for dinners for 6. Hmmmm - who was the better steward of the "government" handout?
BTW - that woman is no longer buying those frozen lasagnas - she was recently convicted of numerous counts of welfare fraud.
Hide cash inside the banana peels.
I read an article about a school lunchroom that had a wonderful salad bar, including cheese and probably croutons - it was decimated by decree of Michelle Obama and turned into a tasteless wasteland of vegies, and the kids no longer flock to it as they had in the past when it contained food they actually liked.
While Michelle Obama has no qualms about taking 1.4 BILLION of our money so her family can live in luxury, she evidently thinks our children are no better than animals, to be attracted by colorful, shiny objects.
What a revolting, repulsive human being. Shame on those people who voted Obama and his family into our WH, and shame on those who would do it again.
In World War II, they tried to force feed soldiers really awful, cheap bologna, and were indifferent to soldiers nausea when faced with it. Eat that or nothing, they were told.
Finally, at one of the larger mess halls, soldiers who had taken to vomiting after eating the nasty stuff, used the rest of their breakfast time standing outside the mess hall building, until they had a “group vomit”. The sight of several men vomiting encouraged others, and finally the medical corps intervened because of the unsanitary nature of it all, and demanded they be fed something other than bologna.
In the case of these school lunches, it sounds like the kids should stock up on a dozen bottles of ipecac, a spoonful of which makes you vomit, and perform the same type of protest.
The school lunch program is a way to transfer money to the approved suppliers who get the government contracts to supply the food.
Michelle Obama: ‘If we keep the calorie count lower than it should be, the little urchins won’t have the strength to complain and will follow my orders. Now how can we do the same thing to their parents?’
‘The school lunch program is a way to transfer money to the approved suppliers who get the government contracts to supply the food.’
As has already been said, it is also a way to exert control over the little people (us).
850 calories (I think) for high school students? They are practically adults! NO ONE in their right mind who knows anything about nutrition would agree to that. If that is all you eat daily, your body goes into starvation mode, and that is not a good thing.
This regime cannot be allowed to continue.
If you tell a child don't ... he does.
Tell him to DO ... and he won't.
They do just like YOU did, MOOSECHELLE !!
And don't try to give us that, "I was an obedient girl" crap.
Every Marxist is, by definition, a rebel and you didn't just "get" that in a school ... you had it all your life when you dicided .. "I won't"
In the ghetto schools where there is a high illegitimate birth rate they should doctor the food with some saltpeter.
My Mom used to serve liver every week. I smuggled it out in my knee socks. The dog LOVED me. :)
My mom quit trying to serve us kids liver because we wouldn’t touch it; she’d just fix it on occasion for my dad. But after I became an adult, I got a taste for it, and I would have it about once a month.
But with the economy the way it is, and liver being a cheap meal, I’ve upped that to once a week...a diet of ramen, hot dogs and an occaisonal outdated chicken, just ain’t cuttin it.
Well, I eat other things, but many is the time I’ve gone to the store with a 20 dollar bill, and had to make it get me through the weekend. I have to have my coffee, and I have to have my bulb of live garlic. After that, if it’s octopus eyes that are on sale, I’ll find a way to stir fry them and put them on a bed of ramen noodles, I guarantee...
