Forget him. She's no fool. She's going to sue the deep pocket.

The kid’s 16, won’t even get to trial until he’s 17, will be released when he turns 18.

In this case, I have no problem if this woman sues the business....it is the businesses responsibility to properly screen their workers. You have to be really extreme Business Socialist to side with this business.

If the headline writer puts "raped" in quotes, does that make it a legitimate rape? Or more of a rape-rape? Am I supposed to be outraged like with Todd Akin's usage? Or supportive like in Roman Polanski's case? Or dismissive like in Bill Clinton's case?
I just don't know what's expected of me any more.

In a sane world, the woman would have been allowed to own a handgun next to her bed....but this is NYC where the Constitution goes to die.
Bloomburg should be sued after the rapist kid.

According to the article, the woman’s apartment door was unlocked. Maybe her daughter forgot to lock it and went to bed. It happens. May this be a lesson to both - always lock your front and back doors.
The perp’s dad owns the pizzeria. Too bad the young man has ruined his life, and this wasn’t the first time he violated the law. He had been charged with burglary in the past.

Last month, cops found Lucas with a 39-year-old womans credit cards and drivers license after they cuffed him for jumping a turnstile. And he was working for his dad's business when he attacked the woman in her apartment. I'd say the "good kid" defense is going to be a little difficult.
I wonder how he got the other woman's credit cards? Probably also during a pizza delivery, one way or the other.

Seriously?
BTW, how savage can it be and not wake the kid up?

Never happen, thanks to the U.S. Supreme Court which ruled that it is unConstitutional to sentence a juvenile to life imprisonment, or for that matter,a number of years designed to keep him/her imprisoned until they die.
The best thing for lawabiding people to do now is adopt a mental attitude that I must protect myself and life because no one else is going to. While it is true that at one point in time long ago that the law and police were on the side of the law abiding individual, that no longer is the case.

Why did the Post say ‘raped’? They aren’t sure it is “legitimate rape”?

I’m also surprised that a 16 year old is legally allowed to work at 12:30 in the morning in NYC.
Maybe she was “raped” in quotes, because her kicking him prevented penetration.
Finally in the last paragraph we find that the kid was a punk, with an arrest record for stealing and bag snatching.
Wonder if he had any skittles on him and gold grilles on his teeth??
