(CNSNews.com) - Rep. Paul Ryan of Wisconsin, the Republican vice-presidential nominee, told a West Palm Beach, Fla., television station over the weekend that he is now okay with homosexuals in the military and does not want to reverse the repeal of the Dont Ask Dont Tell policy.
I talked to a lot of good friends of mine who are combat leaders in the theater, and they just didnt think the timing of this was right to do this when our troops were in the middle of harms way in combat, Ryan told WPTV Saturday, when asked about the one-year anniversary of the repeal of Don't Ask Don't Tell.

Now that its done, we should not reverse it. I think that would be a step in the wrong direction because people have already disclosed themselves.
I think this issue is past us, he added. Its done. And I think we need to move on.
The GOP elite pull the strings...candidates just go along for the ride even after they are elected
Precisely. I spent weeks and weeks trying to get Freepers to understand that future political dynamic, but few would listen. Romney is a liberal, and he will get his liberal agenda through the congress, because he's the de facto leader of their party.
Stick a fork in Romney/Ryan. They are nothing but the white republican version of Obama/Biden. Ryan should be ashamed of himself. He voted against repealing DADT and he has said in the past he was against homosexuals openly serving. He now touts the RINO line of his boss Romney...........and to hell with what the Catholic Church teaches on sodomy. For Ryan, it is not “time to move on”. He needs to grow a damn pair and start acting like man, and a man that is supposed to be a conservative. I have thought there was no way the republicans could lose this thing. I was wrong. Why vote for Obama/Biden light? To hell with this election. I’m moving to Costa Rica.
I don't think that will become a problem.
I’m reading the biography of Craig Kilbourne, the New York Times food writer. He was a combat Navy veteran of two wars and gay as a May Pole. And not the only gay man to serve in the Navy according to the book.
I'm sick to death of these 'sad' elections. Even if we win, we lose.
I believe that Romney's going to win, and that he's going to do little to nothing to truly roll back the Socialist agenda that's killing America. I want to see a strong Tea Party challenger primary him in 2016.
Somebody slap a sock in this idiots mouth.
Are he and Romney both trying to lose?
Bingo.
Get your fire suit on the flames will be forth coming ;-)
Apparently, they're not worth a damn to Ryan either.
How long do you think until R/R sign on to that liberal sacrament?
I had really hoped that Ryan would somehow pull Romney a bit right, or that he'd be a counter weight to Romney's liberal progressivism, but no. He's been consumed by the GOP-e Borg.
I don't think that will become a problem.
Not to them, anyway. The rest of us? That's a different story.
Our first task is to remove the muslim in office and slow the radical islamist calaphate...if you are blind to this, please study it hard, and NOW.
I do not know about anyone else but I would much rather fight to get RINO's like Romney out of the WH than fight to get the muslim brotherhood out of MY house...Think it through...
Do you really think Romney will turn us in to a muslim state as obama is so painfully, obviously attempting, or do you think he is fighting for his own political gain???
As an old Jarhead, I vote we fight to get career politicians out of office...
Actually, no. They're diabolically shrewd because they already know the patriotic right has nowhere else to go. They're simply pandering to the mushy left-of-center Independents now.
Meh... It's Romney and Ryan who need to don their flame suits. I'm just the messenger.
When you dance with the devil, the devil doesn’t change, he changes you.
Do you really think Romney will turn us in to a muslim state as obama is so painfully, obviously attempting, or do you think he is fighting for his own political gain???
Of course, you're right, but at the same time, what are we really gaining by electing a couple of politicians who are willing to sell out (what's left of) their principles to win an election?
I understand what Job One is, but let's not get overly optimistic about what a Romney/Ryan administration will (or will not) do.
Sad to say:
Romney says abortion legal for mother’s health

With all due admiration and respect, it is not about what R&R will or won't do...we can beat them on an even playing field...OBAMA has the entire Muslim world at our throats...and if come November he is still there, we are done, Sharia becomes law sooner than we know it.
Let me fight to replace a career, money hungry politician any day of the week...that's what we were doing before OBAMA came in to office. With him, we are fighting the death nell of America, as we love it or HATE it...R&R fall into "dislike" as far as I am concerned.
Avowing myself before the muslims to their allah, or paying a tax because I refuse, or watching my loved ones beheaded makes me not care a lot right now that Ryan says what he thinks will get him more votes...God bless him for doing so...let's Tea Party his ass out in 2016 and fill both the house and senate with tea totalers even before than!!
