(CNSNews.com) - Rep. Paul Ryan of Wisconsin, the Republican vice-presidential nominee, told a West Palm Beach, Fla., television station over the weekend that he is now okay with homosexuals in the military and does not want to reverse the repeal of the Dont Ask Dont Tell policy.
I talked to a lot of good friends of mine who are combat leaders in the theater, and they just didnt think the timing of this was right to do this when our troops were in the middle of harms way in combat, Ryan told WPTV Saturday, when asked about the one-year anniversary of the repeal of Don't Ask Don't Tell.

Now that its done, we should not reverse it. I think that would be a step in the wrong direction because people have already disclosed themselves.
I think this issue is past us, he added. Its done. And I think we need to move on.
Out of interest, how was DADT repealed? congressional vote or executive order from the king?
Gays are already demanding changes that would allow them to have sex in the barracks and bunks and choose their own roommates
He has no other choice, does he?
Sorry about the funky formatting in the original post. I usually preview first, but not this time :-(
Legislatively.
agree..no commment
Just like ObamaCare
It is now “settled law”
Somebody claiming to be Paul Ryan appeared on FOX- Cavuto program. It had to be an impostor because it acted like a ventriloquist dummy with nothing to say but a very tightly scripted Romney talking point list. It was awful.
What have the Romney people done with the real Paul Ryan? Where are they keeping him? Tied up in a basement somewhere?
Does it matter? The point is, Ryan's all for it now.
If he said anything else it’d be a distraction. Focus on the job at hand. Things will take care of themselves after Nov 6th.
I have a comment....>SICKENING! Paul Ryan should be ASHAMED of himself!!!!!! Asshat.
Gosh, I guess not. Time for all of us conservatives to wise up and get with the liberal program. /s
Just a small part in a lockbox
No comment needed. The can of worms has been open. It’s a shame but that’s the fact.
Obama’s got a bag full of cans. Question is, will we let him open those too?
CONgress voted on it, the Kenyan signed it.
It was punched through before the Tea Party takeover.
Why is this a change? I never heard anyone say Ryan was a conservative until he was picked to be VP.
Of course. All conservative principles are nothing more than "a distraction". The gods of the GOP-e have decreed it so.
This is how they intend to fire up the base to get out and vote for them???
Never mind that it was in violation of conduct code and they are already selecting their bunkmates again in violation of established conduct codes.
Next will come gay officers’ clubs (organizations and recreation) and PC promotion.
All by executive order.
The lavender mafia marches on.
