Andy Williams, whose corn-fed good looks, easygoing charm and smooth rendition of "Moon River" propelled him to the heights of music stardom in the early '60s, died Tuesday at his home in Branson, Mo., following a battle with bladder cancer, his family announced.
He was 84, and 2012 had marked his 75th year in showbiz. Williams is survived by his wife Debbie and his three children, Robert, Noelle and Christian.

He was one of then best. RIP.
No more Andy Willimas Christmas shows.
May God comfort your family in their hour of grief...
Oh, dear - another one departs.
Thank you, Andy, for some very pleasant and comforting tunes; may you enjoy the singing of the Celestial Choir.
R.I.P.
He was always one of my favorites. Prayers on the way.
Oh good, I was sitting here wondering why there was only one thread about Andy Williams dying. More threads, please!
The Andy Williams Moon River Theater in Branson, MO is one of the most popular venues in that city of entertainment.
His passing marks the end of an era. He was the last of the crooners whose ranks went from Rudy Vallee to Bing Crosby to Frank Sinatra to Dean Martin to Perry Como and has now come to an end.
Andy's straight ahead, persuasive singing simply cannot be heard anymore. His death coincides with the passing of a more sincere and genteel time in America.
Goodbye, Andy. May each day of the week be a good day. May the Lord always watch over you.
He could have an interesting conversation with Spider Sabitch now.
One of the conservatives in the entertainment business, too.
My favorite tunes by Williams are Are You Sincere? (1958) and Lonely Street (1959).
