President Obama has been forced to reassess his view of what caused the attack in Benghazi, Libya that killed US Ambassador Christopher Stevens, raising questions about whether the White House has a solid grasp on the underpinnings of the angry convulsions rocking the Middle East and the impact of the so-called “Cairo doctrine” laid out by Obama shortly after he took office in 2009.
The White House initially laid the blame for the attack, as well as dozens of other protests that continue to roil the Mideast, on a YouTube clip from a movie called “The Innocence of Muslims” insulting of the Prophet Mohammed. White House spokesman Jay Carney first said the attack came “in response to … a film that we have judged to be reprehensible and disgusting.”
But this week, Mr. Carney changed the White House position and called the killing of Ambassador Stevens and three more diplomatic personnel a “terrorist attack.” In a TV interview Friday, Obama added that radical Libyan factions had used the movie as an “excuse” for a sophisticated incursion.
To be sure, when President Obama in 2009 offered a “new beginning” for US-Mideast relations based on “mutual respect and mutual interest,” he also acknowledged that turmoil in the region had historical antecedents that “go beyond any current policy debate.”

IMO, President Buckwheat ordered the attack on the consulate and tried to blame it on a stupid movie so he could use it as a basis to attack the 1st Amendment and shut down freedom of speech. Both Hillary and Soros have their fingerprints all over this.
There is a you tube video out there where this guy researched the movie and found it was posted by Stanley Inc which he thinks is a CIA front. I’ll see if I can find the link.

OK, if it was an organized terrorist attack, then it is the fault of obumbler’s foreign policy and his fault for not furnishing an impenetrable security barrier around the embassy; either physical or human.
Obumbler could see another huge scandal in the making.
So if he could blame it on the movie, the death of our people would not be blamed on him.
Obumbler only admitted it to being a terrorist attack after top officials in Libya and others made the information irrefutable.
So it was all a lie and obumbler knew it was a lie.
This event alone should bar him from being elected president again.
If the voters lets this slide by, they deserve what they get.

Yes. The comments are scathing. I sincerely hope they are a cross-section of voter opinion.
This is just anecdotal, but comments on yahoo 3-4 years ago were starry eyed about Obama. But I have seen several yahoo posts in recent months where the comments are scathing.

I have said bits of the following in other posts:
The movie is being used as a scapegoat by the Obama Regime to deflect focus on our failed Middle East policy.
The movie is being used by Islamic extremists to give justification for a strategy aimed at pushing the United States out of the Middle East. Once that happens, Israel will be vulnerable as well as Saudi Arabia.
The events taking place in the Middle East are at a time when the West is economically weak due to the Obama Regime’s failure to put America back on its economic feet. We watched them use the failed system of Keynesian Economics. It was a phoney plan to deceive America into thinking things would get better. It was a plan to destroy America.
The deception that told us that democracy was in bloom in the Arab Spring, was another lie sold to us by the Obama Regime. Our President and his State Department under Hillary Clinton knew exactly where this Arab Spring was headed. They knew the chain of events necessary for the establishment of a democratic state. Instead, they allowed the chain of events necessary for the establishment of a new totalitarian movement, the Muslim Brotherhood, an extremist Islamic force. The Obama Regime wants a meltdown in the Middle East for their friends, the Muslim Brotherhood. Same deception, same disaster. Now the Obama Regime uses the Innocence of Muslims as a scapegoat for their true objective: to continue the deception and to continue the destruction.
We were warned by the influence of the Muslim Brotherhood in our own government by Michele Bachmann, who was denounced by Senator McCain on the Senate floor:
“When anyone, not least a member of Congress, launches specious and degrading attacks against fellow Americans on the basis of nothing more than fear of who they are and ignorance for what they stand for, it defames the spirit of our nation and we all grow poorer because of it.”
McCain’s ignorance of the peril we are in because of the infiltration by members of the Muslim Brotherhood in our government, is frightening. His lack of alertness to what is happening is stunning.
Our alliance with Israel was the kingpin of America’s influence in the Middle East. We are witnessing the Obama Regime’s betrayal of Israel. I hope to God we are not seeing the final hours of the State of Israel by this betrayal. By the eliminating of the State of Israel, our influence in the Middle East will have ended.
The American People had better wake up to what is happening too. Too many have tuned out politics. They think it is all bickering about nothing and has no relevance to their lives. They tune out the news, don’t read newspapers and refuse to read anything political that comes in the mail. They will vote for Obama because it will be their way to shut up the other side. With the other side not talking, that’s less talk for them to hear. Because there are these type of Americans, their ignorance will soon come home to roost.
The West may wake up too late and find out how important Israel was to our survival.
America, as your gasoline prices go to the roof, your nation will go down the toilet.
