When Obama was elected the average price of gasoline was $1.78, why is this not an issue? Where will the price of gasoline be in four years if Obama is elected. This is an issue that effects EVERYONE. Why isn't it discussed more?
Filling up my 12 year old SUV today in order to drive 34 miles to work. The SUV is paid for, can’t afford to just “buy a more efficient one’ as the president suggests. It costs me $120.00 per week just to drive back and forth to work. Yet, nobody even mentions this in the campaign. There is something really wrong with this. When gas goes up to $8.00 per gallon, I don’t know what I’m going to do.
It’s a suckers game. We will now all re-tool and buy small cars that we hate but get in the 30 MPG range. Having done that, the price will drop again and we will be jealous of the SUV drivers again and the cycle repeats itself. My solution is to have 2 vehicles, one for low prices and one for high prices.
“If they loose this one the party is finished.”
Actually America is finished
Most everyone not living on the taxpayer subsidized bus route or subway route.
Ouch!! We got about $3.89 to $4.15 in my part of NJ.
Figured he’d get prices down about $0.25/gallon within the next couple of weeks and say,”Look what I did for you! Remember that when you go to vote!”.
good question - because people have gotten used to settling for misery? That’s just my guess.
We need to remind them. When GW Bush was president the press harped on the price of gas constantly, and at the high it was $1.78. If they aren’t going to bring it up WE SHOULD!!!

Except everybody knows gas has more than doubled since he took office. We need to heavily advertise that his unelected Czar wants the prices to go to $8.00!!!
Because Romney is a horrible choice and useless.
Control and dominance, America is too free, too uncontrolled for the plans of the Muslim Brotherhood, needs to be broken like a wild mustang.
First is fuel, then utilities, and then food.
Oh, oops, I used the 'f' word.
"Failure". Must never associate that with Duh-1...
With the price of gasoline goes the price of EVERYTHING. Things must be moved from place to place.
Just heard on the radio yesterday that Obama has ordered the military to buy some kind of “green” gasoline for jets that costs $59.00 per gallon, when regular fuel for them is normal rate. OMG!!! Not only has my income virtually been cut in half due to increased costs, our taxes are funding waste like this. AMAZING.
Romney et al needs to be discussing it BIG TIME!!! A good time to start (since he hasn’t already - stupidly in my opinion) would be in the DEBATES. He needs to get a shot in whenever he can take it, despite what the “moderator” (liberal hack) wants him to discuss.
Tone deaf, anyway.

The U.S. Military’s Great Green Gamble Spurs Biofuel Startups
Eighty miles west of El Paso, Tex., in a sunburned stretch of the New Mexico desert, Predator drones and blimps patrol the nearby border and immigration-agency SUVs speed through the desolate terrain, the occasional coyote loping across the scrub. Oddly, given that Im more than 600 miles from the Pacific, theres a distinct salty ocean tang wafting on the breeze. But thats not the sea Im smelling: The odor is emanating from algae growing in 30 acres of huge oblong ponds at Sapphire Energys Green Crude Farm.
Funded with $85 million from Bill Gates and other investors plus $104 million in government cash and loan guarantees the worlds only commercial outdoor algal biorefinery went online this summer and will eventually expand to 300 acres. The plan: extract 1.5 million gallons of green crude oil a year from patented pond scum fed a diet of carbon dioxide and sunlight.
Even before San Diego-based Sapphire broke ground on the demonstration plant last year, the U.S. Navys green energy warrior, Vice Admiral Philip Cullom, descended on the desert site to grill Sapphire execs on their technology and its potential to fuel battleships and jet fighters. No question, the military has focused the company and given us a great challenge to meet, says Sapphire executive Tim Zenk, standing on the catwalk of a tank where a mechanical arm is harvesting thick green goo pumped in from the algae ponds.

We need more “stunts” like this one (Note how the biased press called it a ‘stunt”)
