Political reporters on Twitter are saying they are standing by for a Romney media availability on the video released today by Mother Jones of Romney at a May fundraiser speaking frankly of his thoughts on Obama's base voters and their entitlement mentality, aka the 47% who pay no federal income taxes.
The media and GOP-E have jumped ugly on Romney tonight.
Steve Holland, Reuters: Romney at press avail to respond to video says his comments weren't "elegantly stated," and "could have said it in a more effective way."
Yes, more news is now coming out about the successful attack the enemy had in Afganistan and they're hoping the Romney comments will dominate the headlines instead.
I noticed it, too...I think it’s just a bad camera angle and not very close up. Overall, he looks very much like Reagan tonight.
nah...all people heard was show the video!
lets turn this into reality tv...theyll watch..ha ha
Go MITT
Did you realize that if we as individuals were taxed only only on our profit or gain we'd probably not owe anything!
wow. You better take your meds. You're hallucinating your own thoughts and projecting them onto me.
When is Romney going to learn that the media is 100% for Obama. He is not going to win this battle. He can not give them any ammunition.
I think you’re right on why they did it. But we know that the liberal/left incompetence on the Middle East will continue, and so will the consequent negative news. They won’t be able to wiggle away from it while continuing their attempts to appease the enemy.
AMEN!
Show me where I said that little lady or are you just mumbling out your ass?”
Oh, I’m sorry. You were actually running an even stupider line:
Back when I was married and had 3 kids at home you can damn well bet I took every exemption I could get and I earned every penny. I worked 12 hours 6 and 7 days a week for it but apparently would have been unworthy of voting for Mitt Saint Jesus.
So you think he was referring to people claiming exemptions on their taxes are the same as people thinking the government should take care of them!
I wish he’d stop reacting and start attacking! Geez!
Why do we always get stuck with wimps!
Nope. The 47%ers that would vote for Mitt want out of the dependency game. They hate it. They’re using it in the way it was intended, or as it was sold- temporary assistance.
Are you kidding? Oboma has trashed the economy, put us into a debt we’ll never be able to pay, divided America like no other president ever has, the friggen bloodthirsty Islamists are on a rampage in the middle east. and Israel is just biding time.
You’re worried about an old, and truthful, video clip?
And the media will ignore the economy, the middle east, Israel, and focus like a laser on that old video clip.
Romney is right in this fight.
This is important. If Mitt can successfully pivot this to economic ideology, he can present a choice to the American people that we will win. If Mitt can get the message across that he believes in the dignity of a paycheck over a welfare check, and that Obama is a European style leader offering presents he can’t afford in exchange for votes, he will win the debates for sure.
You see, there is already a socialist narrative surrounding Obama. He appointed a communist, was mentored by communists, he’s nationalized healthcare, more people are on food stamps thanks to him etc..
Dick Morris is right in his analysis that feeding into narratives that already exist can be devastating. Unfortunately, it works both ways, and this can be used by Obama to push the “Mitt is a rich guy who doesn’t understand everyday struggles” BS. Romney has to get better at delivering his message. He has to start getting tough, and letting loose with the cash in swing states.
The Democrats have successfully made this election a choice, not a referendum on zero. We can still win on this playing field, as long as the choice is worded in the way we want it
Socialism vs. capitalism.
because they all belong to the spineless party.
Ignore cripple. He just hates Romney and will say anything to tear Mitt down. He's not even casting a serious ballot for President this year. Plans to flush his vote down the crapper on some 3rd party nobody.
I agree. Weird camera angle.
Many seniors pay income taxes. You don’t have to have that much income to pass the threshold after which your SS payments are taxable.
You began the interaction by calling me a troll ~
The “bitter clingers” comment was brought up on the Greta panel, too...it was pointed out that Hillary used that against Barry in the primaries.
