While i do believe that most polls are over sampling democrats, i think it's clear Romney would lose if the election were held today...Rasmussen has him up only one but the swing state picture is much worse when you look at the individual states...especially Ohio. We are kiddig ourselves if we think were going to match the 2010 turnout model with Obama at the top of the ticket. It will probably be somewhere between 2008 and 2010.
The only time Romney made progress in the polls was when he added Ryan to the ticket. THats the one of the few times he has sowed any guts in this campaign.....
Mitt, unshackle Ryan and start attaking Obama hard, because if you continue this McCain style campaign you are headed for the same result.

Yes. To Romney this is just a primary against a fellow left-winger. In fact Romney’s speech is the same as Hillary’s in the Democratic Primary: I’ll manage the welfare state better than Obama; the details of my socialist programs are better. Hillary seemed more scared of an Obama presidency than Romney is of 4 more years.
(Now real fear, the GOP-E had that when Huckabee won Iowa in 2008.)

GOP has to face it. They picked a string of small idea Republicans, starting with no-vision Bush. McCain and Romney are one-trick ponies - for McCain it’s war and for Romney it’s money. No Eisenhowers, Nixons or Reagans who were unafraid to meet the enemy face to face.

I think you are missing the point. The political debates as run by the liberal media of late are not debates in a real sense. They are a comedy act with Romney the straight man and Romney can play that so well that he most certainly will snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
Now change the parameters and have Romney tell the mods to shut the hell up and enter into a real debate one on one with Obama. That way he avoids the mods subtly poking fun of him and leaves Obama floundering with out soft questions from the mods making him look good.
You live in a fantasy land of some sort. Let’s try to keep the “what can Romney do better on the campaign trail before he loses” to more realistic suggestions.
OH....you think Romney is a strong contender when he in reality is the second weakest this nation has seen in my life. He is also the most socialist of the Republican contenders we have had.
While I can not gin up any enthusiasm for the slow socialist Romney I will enter the voting booth with a very strong repugnance for the fast socialist Obama. I’m going for the slow trip with the hope we have enough time to get socialist thinking in handcuffs and chop of the monsters head.
I’m not 100% happy with the campaign Team Romney has run, but I also note that they have a history of doing something that has been highly effective during the Primaries. They keep the race close. Then in the last three weeks before the election, the carpet bomb the airwaves with full fledged negative ads against their rivals. The on election day, Romney wins comfortably.
Basically I am saying is they aren’t like Team 0bama, who is already shooting their wad and getting only a tied race out it. Team Romney has a ton of cash on hand and more keeps rolling in. They are well positioned for their usualy style.
Also keep in mind they are running against the media as well. They will never get a minute of positive coverage from now until election day while 0bama will get nothing but high praise.
This is a hard, uphill battle. Stay engaged and do what you can to help (donate or help out at a GOP headquarters near you) and we can rid this nation of the cockroaches in the White House.

Romney is no Conservative, but I think McCain was an even more leftist candidate.
0bamam is horrible. We can’t afford another year of him let alone 4 more years. Just hold your nose, vote for Mitt Romney and then pray for the best.
Try reading polls like Rassmussen that don’t validate your preconceived doom and gloom emotion based opinions.
You tune out all data that challenges your preconceived opinions. Your mind on this topic is welded shut, pry it open.

I been in politics 32 years and we see this same garbage every election year. Conservative “Activists” who think by sitting on their asses shooting their own side in the back they are “helping”.
