A new poll finds President Obama opening up a commanding 11-point lead in the battleground state of Pennsylvania.

A Philadelphia Inquirer poll released on Saturday shows Obama with 50 percent support to Romney’s 39 among likely voters in the state.

Obama has expanded his 8-point lead in the same poll taken last month, where he topped Romney with 51 percent to 42.

They can't admit their left wing ideas are bankrupt, they have to claim Utopia was stolen.

Okay, so I am 100% all wet. I am a partisan ninny who has utterly no clue about anything. Obama will win in a landslide. All hope is UTTERLY lost. No matter how HORRIFYINGLY PAINFULLY TRAGICALLY AWFUL the election prospects really are, it is a MILLION times worse. Then things get *really* tough. After that, HORRIBLE things happen, and Obama will carry ALL FIFTY STATES, and then we REALLY get screwed. Immediately following that, the BOTTOM drops out and we are all DEAD, and THEN things get HARD! Once that happens, it signifies the TOTAL collapse of EVERYTHING, and that’s when the CATASTROPHE starts! It’s the sign of the end of EVERYTHING, but after that, comes the TRAGEDY. Then times get DIFFICULT, and things get WORSE, until it’s EXCRUCIATING, but that’s just the beginning, because after that it’s all PAIN.

So, tell ya what. Over here we are trying to get a win. Why don’t you give the dscouraging morale-downing Pronouncements of Doom a freakin’ rest, hah?

Or, if you like, just copy and paste my doom paragraph to every thread you see. That will save you some work.

I have to say it again, MSM largely is controlled by liberals, it’s become more blatantly biased in favor of Obama and Dem party. Conservatives haven’t realised how serious a problem this is.

Pennsylvania used to be so cool. What happened to you? I mean, really. I have a feeling it’s the same thing that happened to cool places.

What is it with this guy? I don’t mind some realism, but damn, it’s like he wants us to stay home in November, he’s THAT negative.

Romney was Obama’s dream opponent.

I hope and pray that this poll is bogus, but I have serious doubts that it is. I live in an area of PA that should be — and always has been — staunching Republican. And the Obama lawn signs now outnumber the Romney signs by about 10 to 1. I am afraid we have reached a point where the takers outnumber the makers.

I said Obama is currently winning, not that he will win. I’ve argued consistently that Obama’s biggest weapon is his likeability - but more important, that people WANT to like him. Back when this was an anti-Romney site and the conventional wisdom was that Willard could never beat Obama, I argued otherwise. I believed Mitt had a 30-40% chance to win the White House. Much time has been lost to no positive effect since then. Today I’d give him a 25-35% chance.

Sorry, I’m a political realist. I hope Romney wins a landslide. I’d like nothing more than to watch the MSNBC drones thrashing, crying and moaning on election night about how we’re all racists. But I think it’s best to look at political races objectively, see where we are, and give unbiased analysis. Obama’s likeability is his strongest attribute, so how can we best get around that and beat him? Obviously the R/R campaign is struggling with that. This is why we get a bunch of “Obama’s really a nice guy, but...” ads from them. Much as I don’t care for Trump, I agree with his comments the other day that R/R have to get much more aggressive and less afraid of ridiculing Hussein. No more “he’s really a nice guy, but..” mush would help R/R in my view.

I don’t care if the polls show Obama leading Romney by 50 points, I would crawl over broken glass and razor wire to vote against MaoBama...

They probably conducted the poll outside the Philly social security office. You know, little card table, Obama poster on the brick, free suckers in a bowl.

And a couple of billyclub armed Panthers for good measure

Well then let's see consistent positive affirmations of actual action, not the constant Drumbeat of Death, okay?

You have to remember what your words might do to fellow troops' morale.

I buy a lot of used books on Amazon...
I always look at where the dealer is located...
If in a lib dim state like VT or PA, I don’t patronize.
Yes, I get that the dealer may be a conservative trying to make a buck in lib land...
I’m just trying to help them realize they need to abandon ship and leave the damn state.

It’s being set up to make the claim Romney stole the election.

That’s exactly what’s going on. Compare to Rasmussen. They always publish internals and almost always poll likely voters. What were these papers saying prior to 2010?

More and more military veterans I talk with are not actually saying they will vote for Obama again but they do say that Romney is someone they cannot vote for. It does not look good for conservatives. I believe like many other conservatives that Romney’s campaign advisers are steering him to a big loss in November.

Conservatives hammer Romney for skimping on policy details

Wed, Sep 12 2012

By John Whitesides

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - For months, Republican Mitt Romney’s presidential campaign has been built on broad themes: cut taxes, repeal and replace Democratic President Barack Obama’s healthcare overhaul, increase defense spending.

But when it comes to specifics - namely, how to pay for the tax cuts and extra spending, and what exactly a Romney healthcare plan would look like - Romney has been reluctant to give details, essentially gambling that Americans’ frustration with high unemployment rates and a struggling economy will be enough to propel him to the White House.

Now, with polls showing that Obama has taken a slight lead in the race after the Republican and Democratic national conventions, increasingly anxious conservatives are calling on Romney to spell out more of his plans - even if it risks alienating some undecided voters.

The calls for a change in strategy have become particularly loud since Sunday, when Romney struggled during an interview on NBC’s “Meet the Press” program to explain what income tax loopholes he might close to help offset the cost of his tax cuts, or whether he would keep portions of Obama’s healthcare overhaul, including a requirement of insurance coverage for those with pre-existing medical conditions.

“Mr. Romney’s pre-existing political calculation seems to be that he can win the election without having to explain the economic moment or even his own policies,” said an editorial published Tuesday in the Wall Street Journal, which often is a barometer of the thinking of leading conservatives.

“Such vagueness carries its own political risks,” the Journal editorial said.

It isn’t the first time that conservatives in his party have raised doubts about Romney’s campaign strategy, but with the November 6 election less than two months away, the calls for the former Massachusetts governor to be bolder and more explicit have become increasingly urgent....

Can you identify them or at least send me their contact information through FreepMail? I'd like to contact them and verify for myself.

Every veteran I speak to (including myself) is firmly in the Romney/Ryan camp. We veterans may not be crazy about Romney but we understand the danger of a second Obama administration.
