HIRAM, Ohio - Hiram College issued a mandatory evacuation of its campus Friday evening, according to the school’s website .
At about 5 p.m., students received a campus alert that stated the college had received a bomb threat.
“We are taking this seriously, have notified local & federal authorities. Several other campuses received similar threats. Please remain aware of suspicious activities,” the alert said. Hiram College said it would update hiram.edu every 30 minutes with new information.
Also on Friday, the University of Texas and the North Dakota State University were evacuated after bomb threats were phoned in within minutes of each other. Both campuses were cleared.
Hiram College, located in Portage County, has an enrollment of 1,334, the school's website said. The Hiram men’s soccer team is scheduled to play John Carroll at home at 7 p.m.

Tiny, harmless little Hiram College??? I went there for a couple of years way back when.
Does it have Muslim students now or something that would attract this kind of “attention.”
