That's quite some smirk on Mitt Romney's face as he walks away from the podium in Jacksonville, Florida, having just woven in criticism of Barack Obama to his reaction to the murders in Benghazi. The photograph was taken by Charles Dharapak of the Associated Press, and I suspect it's going to be one of the most significant images of the campaign. Maybe Mr Romney was just unlucky, but on the other hand
are you surprised? Honestly?

I found this particularly interesting because yesterday while listening to Barack Obama's first press availability on the Libya murders, it struck me that his voice still rang with the same undisguised narcissism it always conveys (there was no hint of emotion for the death of Americans).
Romney smirking?
The idea of "Mitt's smirk" as the new media and blogosphere smear is telling.
I can't post the photo (AP) but it's at the source.

Talk about desperation! This is a stretch, even for the partisan hacks in the media.
To: Cincinatus' Wife
That is not a smirk! It is a strained smile.
To: Cincinatus' Wife
Alright, this is no longer borderline - this is over the top psychotic.

Ditto! I can't detect anything smirk-like in that photo.
Just a typical Romney smile.

There is a great picture in today’s papers of a smiling Obama after he spent the last 4 years ruining America-I wonder if that smile will haunt him?

Little did the media know the smirk was because Romney knew they had left their mikes on before the conference and he was on his way to send the evidence of their bias to Fox News....

Smirk?
The author more likely has a sneer ... except when he's thinking about Bam-Bam. Don't wanna say what the author is doing when he's thinking about Bam-Bam.

That doesn't even begin to to look like a smirk. It looks like a forced smile when something unfortunate is happening.

Desperation is an understatement. The msm has lost any credibility it had. It is somewhere between useless and worthless.

It’s always the same for these ninnies, if it’s not racism it’s wealth or unfairness or women screaming about control of their bodies, now a facial expression... we are to believe that a calm and collected facial expression shows heartlessness? My gawd do these people need and enema...

OMG~! They’re RIGHT! It IS a smirk.
And hey Media- I have breaking news you can use: once when Mitt was a kid he played Cops and Robbers- and he was THE ROBBER!!
And once when he was in college- he took the pencil home from a written test!

In terms of inappropriate facial expressions, one only has to look at the arrogance that characterize the multiplicity of 0bungle photos that litter the media.

That is not a smirk on Romney's face but the picture of the fag that wrote this has a smirk on his mouth... or maybe it's stretch marks.
