As the summer driving season comes to an end, motorists who were hoping gas prices would fall are instead getting hit with a big jump, especially in the Northeast.
The average price of a gallon of regular gas increased 1.5 cents nationally for the second straight day, taking it to $3.86 in AAA's latest reading Wednesday. The back-to-back price moves follow what had been a lull in gas price activity after an August run-up in prices caused by Gulf Coast refinery disruptions as Hurricane Isaac approached.
Prices had been expected to retreat quickly once the Gulf region's facilities came back online. But Tom Kloza, chief analyst at the Oil Price Information Service, said the retreat in prices following the storm is being delayed because Isaac hit so close to Sept. 15.

100 bucks every day or two in the tank hurts to much to continue.
Little car cost me 4 tanks of gas. should pay for it’s self in no time.
Our houses are worth less, our retirements are worth less, we pay more at the pumps.......we are less safe...the country is almost bankrupt
Obama doesn’t care, he never has to pay for gas or his million dollar vacations.
And not only is Obama still in the white house.. There is enough people willing to vote for him to send him back!
The uninformed voters will re-elect a Obama. The media manipulates a bunch of dummies.
>> we are less safe...the country is almost bankrupt...
Yeah, but we’re green, gender-interchangeable, and diverse!
(in fact, da longer Barky has the helm, diverse it gets.)
This is Affirmative Action President at work. He is Simon Says with the country and media. Most people follow blindly without a brain.
Come on down to Texas. Paid “just” $3.51.9 in Houston suburbs. Generally about a dime higher in the city though.

Chin up! Some do; but I respectfully submit that MOST do NOT.
The Kenyan’s going DOWN in November.
I pray you are right. Dick Morris agrees with you!
I want it to be $8 or more per gallon the week before election day, just to drive the point home.
Gas was $1.49 in midstate PA on the day when the Kenyan raised his paw to steal the oath of office.
$3.95 today, up TWENTY-THREE PER CENT from the year’s low of $3.19 on July 1.
$3.49 in Hill Country today.
I live near the coast in Washington state. Mid grade has been over $4.20 for several weeks. At one place I saw it at $4.50.
We love traveling around our country and have done so for more than 40 years. I now tow an Airstream trailer.
It is common for us to spend as much as 5k+ on our 30 day vacation. This year, for the first time, we stayed home. Instead, we are working on our property, out on our boat fishing and spending far less money. Oh, I have been killing the Coho Salmon run. ;>)
Thanks to Obama and his filthy democrats, another 5k+ has been kept out of our economy this summer.
Obama has got to go.....
we must drive many miles to grocery shop, doctor apps. even to attend church..forget our volunteering any longer...miles add up to empty tanks...sad..really sad...never have I seen the economy so bad. even under Carter..
Please vote Obama out of power...
