Pizza and politics may not mix, at least a restaurant owner photographed bear-hugging President Obama.
Scott Van Duzer, the owner of the Florida pizza shop, struck fame for a photograph of him lifting President Barack Obama off the floor with a bear hug at his Big Apple Pizza & Pasta Restaurant in Fort Pierce in Sunday during a last-minute visit from the Commander-in-Chief.
The photograph made the front pages of newspapers around the country and the image was an Internet sensation at warp speed.
The good will was short-lived for Van Duzer though. He told Politico that people are boycotting his business because of the famous presidential hug.
People are saying a lot of bad things and boycotting my restaurant, Scott Van Duzer, 46, told Politico. Theres no middle line anymore, and thats exactly whats wrong with our country right now.

Where is the opposition to free speech in a boycott? That makes no sense.

Location in Florida is the answer to this guy’s problem...
If he is in a part that backs Obama, he shouldn’t have a problem. In fact he should have been overwhelmed with Obama supports. Sounds like he screwed up hoping to get a Obama bump and ended up getting a thump.
Some lessons are learned the hard way.

ONe of the things that is wrong with our country is that people's lives have become too permeated with their politics. That is what happens when politicians attempt to control every facet of our lives.

They talk about compromise and working together , when what they want is for us to totally surrender. And our side has. When has government been shrunken? When never .And they want us to compromise. We won't compromise anymore with liberals/democrats/marxists on ANYTHING no matter how small something is: Government has always grown , we never have gotten anything except more government which equals more tyranny and less opportunity for us. We can't and won't compromise with government because that will be compromising with evil and inefficiency and tyranny.

Then go buy his pizza.
And anyone who doesn’t want to buy his pizza has a God given right not to.

Until the mayor of his city tries to force him out, he has no reason to complain. People have the right to spend their money where they want.
In any case, doesn’t he know he didn’t built that?

If the local pizza in my town was involved in such a publicity stunt that involved obama I would never ever go there again. There are plenty of other places to eat including at home. I support no one that who supports obamas in anyway.

“Youre the one who met with Obama at the WH before the event.”
I’ve seen this posted before, but no source....Can you (or anyone) cite the link?
I saw a clip of the lift with 3-4 SS/reporters looking incredulously at the “lift”, all unsmiling.

That’s right. Coexist = Submit. (Or as 0bama will put it, you have a “mandate” to submit)
I don’t recall reading that anyone called for a boycott.
