In just three short minutes, Democrats handed the 2012 election to Republican Mitt Romney.
In a surreal floor vote at the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, N.C., at 5:04 p.m., long before prime-time viewers flipped on their TVs, delegates split hard on whether to include a simple mention of God in their platform, and to declare that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel.
Awkward, embarrassing, stupid, unforced error, said Democrat Paul Begala. That doesnt even begin to capture what will be a game-changing event in the presidential election.
With no advance warning and no fanfare, Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, a rising star in the party, took to the podium. He gave the floor to the head of the platform-drafting committee, former Ohio Gov. Ted Strickland.
As an ordained United Methodist minister, I am here to attest and affirm that our faith and belief in God is central to the American story and informs the value we have expressed in our partys platform, he said. In addition, President Obama recognizes Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, and our partys platform should as well.
Well. The delegates voted by yelling yay or no.
Spotlight Mr. Villaraigosa. In the opinion of the chair let me do that again.
He did. Another vote, half yay, half no.
I, uh, I guess said the by-now formerly rising party star, turning for help.
An unknown woman sidled up and told him, You just gotta let them vote, and let them do what theyre gonna do.
Finally, in vote 3, the nos clearly won, but the teleprompter said otherwise and the motion was deemed passed: God and Jerusalem as the capital of Israel were back in the party platform.

And then they BOOED! What losers!
First, they voted on God, and rejected Him 3 times, regardless of what Villaraigosa declared. Then, they booed him. What a bunch of degenerates!
I hoope to see and hear multiple commercials with the sound bite of the vote on the motion taken by LA Mayor Villagarosa.
The other thing is the moderator was giving them 3 chances to affirm what had to be what Obama wanted changed ( They had to know it came from him )and they didn’t care
bump
This clip has been played over and over, forget Michelle, Biden, Clinton or Barack. This is the memory the American people will have of the convention.
3X just like Peter at the bonfire
Except, most of the MSM is treating it like it never happened. I waited in vain for The Seattle Times to include it in convention coverage. The only place it showed up is in the online comments section, where stalwart conservatives brought it up, only to be beat down by the leftist response.
The responses were typical hate filled anti-God vitriol that the Democrats spew in conversation, but deny in media.
I agree. And I hope there are enough sane people left in this country for it make a difference.
I didn’t take it that the anti inclusion votes were booing God. I think they were booing their Conference Chair and the powers that be in the Dem party. Will they go home and stump for the giys that screwed them? Maybe, maybe not.
Yep. Lots of folks have pointed out that parallel, and I find it very intriguing. But at least Peter repented and carried out his apostolic mission!
The MSM won’t report it. Does anyone still doubt the bias?
And then the cock, obama, crowed.
Is a teleprompter prompting equal to a cock crowing?
By giving the choices as "yay" or "no", the moderator had presented himself with an auditory challenge right from the start.
Of course thats not what the networks are saying, but it doesn't take much imagination to know how much fun they'd be having covering it if it were the republicans'.
Of course, there's no way for us to know their real intentions. However, I suspect they wouldn't have booed as loudly if the matter had been something other than God. They've already demonstrated in many ways that they're opposed to Him and His truth, by promoting same-sex so-called marriage and free access to abortion.
