Guilty Verdict in Drew Peterson Murder Trial

The jury in the Drew Peterson murder trial of his 3rd wife, Kathleen Savio, has come in with a verdict of guilty. Sentencing to be November 26.

what about all of his cop buddies who tried to cover this murder up?

... and his narc swat team are still free to break int homes and shoot dogs?

It’s easy to see how this guy is the poster boy for getting what he deserves. But, the evidence is circumstantial. That can be very tough to convict even a greasy weasel like Mr. Peterson.

Also, hearsay evidence? I am not a lawyer, but how is that a good precedent. Think of it when applied to someone you know, a friend, a neighbor, you.

My guess is that it will be appealed and rightly so. He may have done it all right, but he wouldn’t be the only one that has gotten away with murder. The scariest thing to me is the hearsay angle. What a great way to frame someone who would be a perfect fall guy.

Then there are the morons in the jury. What does unanimous mean?
I work with mostly younger people who are “college-educated.” It’s appalling that their inability to spell correctly is very evident and their attention level is along the lines of a sound bite.

This could be an example combination of the dangers of lax jurisprudence and being convicted by the members of lower portion of the bell curve.
