BTW, Thinking about Kathy In Alaska right now. I've been reading some reports out of Alaska that some people are without power around Anchorage due to the windstorm that took place last night.
Hopefully everyone is OK up there.
I’ve let my garden go idle. It’s no use pouring water on the plants when they quit producing.
I hope everything in Anchorage is ok, too, EGC! Thanks for
letting us know.
Hope you and Bo are having a good week. I know it’s hot up
there...as it is here! I’m SO ready for fall!
Tomkow were you drunk driver that stole that tank in San Diego like 10 years ago Remember that
I think you were
San Diego cops were chasing you from Oceanside freeway to Downtown San Diego that video is on YOU TUBE now LOL!
Trying again to check in...thanks, E...((HUGS))...internet seems to be intermittant.
We have both power and internet at work. I made it here, altho half the signals were without power. Most everyone was really good about the “4 way stop” program.
Altho we have internet, off and on, we DO NOT have Cost Point, our payroll system....today is corrections and printing checks day.
Our power went out just after 10p and came on this morning at 6:20a. I had just finished my thread and gotten it onto a thumb drive. Whew!
Long night, howling wind, dark....lots of branches down all over and at least a trillion leaves in the yards and covering the streets.
I’ll check in with my folks during the day. We were prepared with hurricane lamps and candles and flashlight. I will be getting a couple more lamps and more D batteries.
I can see how the wind could drive one insane!!
Thanks for checking in, Kathy! (((hugs)))
Hope you get your payroll program up and running so you don’t
have that hanging over your head!
MA, are power outages a common occurence there? I don’t recall you saying anything over the last few years, but...
Would a battery back-up for the stair-lift be a good idea?
Relative to a stock 1200cc Bug, yes. But it’s maybe 60hp instead of 40. More importanly, it only weighed a little over half a ton with me in the car.

Outages at our house are rare. It has been years and only long enough for all the clocks, etc, to lose their info.
And I found out last night that the only light on in the whole house was the battery light on the stair-lift. (This does make sense.)
Good morning, Idaho....any news on the fire trying to enter your back yard?
Poor Fredd...hopefully you won’t have to be way long.
Sending prayers that the firefighters and the weather cooperate to get the fire to stay away from your town, and your house.
LOL! You remembered!
Welcome to the Canteen, ClearCase_guy....you must at least know the rules. Thanks for playing.
Thank goodness he’s not driving.
Congratulations, you got 10/10 correct.

Howdy. I just called the forest service to complain I didn’t get a email update today.
Yet did get some info from inciweb. Winds will be a 10 mph and heading out of town towards the fire. Under a 1000 acres burned in 24hrs so that is good.
They said they expect the fire to be under control Sept 30th but I don’t know how much longer I will stay out of town.
Fredd isn’t too happy as I type this he is laying down staring at the wall.
((HUGS))
HEY Tomkow you were traveling around dude via 805 Freeway near Oceanside almost into Downtown San Diego
