Unlike the party’s 2008 platform, the Democrats 2012 platform does not specifically mention Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, and now Mitt Romney is firing back.
“It is unfortunate that the entire Democratic Party has embraced President Obama’s shameful refusal to acknowledge that Jerusalem is Israel’s capital,” Romney said in an e-mail to reporters.

In 2008, the Democratic platform stated: “Jerusalem is and will remain the capital of Israel. The parties have agreed that Jerusalem is a matter for final status negotiations. It should remain an undivided city accessible to people of all faiths.”
Earlier this year, White House Deputy Press Secretary Josh Earnest stated “the capital [of Israel] is something that should be determined in final status negotiations between the parties. I’d remind you that that’s the position that’s been held by previous administrations, both Democratic and Republican.”
The Jerusalem Embassy Act, which calls for Jerusalem to be recognized as the capital of Israel, was passed by Congress in 1995 but has never been implemented. Presidents Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, and now Barack Obama have viewed it as a congressional infringement on the executive branch’s constitutional authority over foreign policy.
“Four years of President Obama’s repeated attempts to create distance between the United States and our cherished ally have led the Democratic Party to remove from their platform an unequivocal acknowledgment of a simple reality,” Romney’s statement read on Tuesday. “As president, I will restore our relationship with Israel and stand shoulder to shoulder with our close ally.”

His name is Jesus, the Messiah, and sometime in the near future they will realize this and come to Him. Israel will then fulfill God’s plan for them from the very beginning - proclaim the name of Jesus to the whole world. They will die for it, but will be greatly honored in Heaven.

There’s probably over a thousand threads on Mormonism that have been posted on this forum dating as far back as 2003 or earlier. I have used a great many of them as resources when debating and evangelizing with Mormons. So when you push your propaganda, keep in mind the vast majority of people know better. You ARE pimping for Mormonism. You might as well go out on the street corner outside your house and show some leg, you’ll only be slightly lowered in my estimation! NO ONE was bashing Mormonism until you decided to inject this odious and ugly claim into the thread for no apparent reason despite the 3 or 4 other threads within the same WEEK dealing with this same issue, over hundreds of posts. Since you asked for it, I’m not going to hold back.

Saying “SOME of their beliefs differ from mainstream Christianity” is like saying the Baha’i religion differs in “SOME” of “mainstream Christianity’s” doctrines. (Just incase you don’t know, the Baha’i believe their dead leader was the second coming of Jesus Christ who fulfilled Christian prophecy.) Mormonism is stronger kin to Scientology.
As for the Bible in Mormonism, they only believe it “so far as it is translated correctly.” In fact, I’d say they don’t take it seriously at all, as Mormons I deal with only ever tell me how the Catholics invented it all and twisted it up, and they repeat every argument you’d expect from an infidel. They get their theology from the LDS church.
This Jew is a rabid 0bama hater. And supporting Israel is a statement about one’s view of Western culture, true democracy and free-market capitalism. It’s quite fundamental. Many Jews (though not a majority) will leave the 0bama fold on Nov 6.

It's fine to call a cult a cult - we should do that. But be careful about judging individuals - that's God's job, not ours, and scripture says God's in the business of justification, not condemnation (Romans 8:33).

Assuming for a moment that the view “Mormons are not Christians” depicts the truth, why would a Muslim be better than a Mormon for the White House?
When these mormons you know say they are Christians, do yo know what they mean?
mormonism uses Christian words, they do not mean the same thing.
If a mormon says they are a Christian and a mormon, it is not possible for them to stay in mormonism as mormonism is anti-Christian.
Liberal Jews care more about protecting sins like abortion and homosexual, not to mention abominations like gay marriage in a temple, than about the state of Israel. They are liberal cosmopolitans.
There’s a lot of born-again Christians in this world who are nevertheless deceived. None of us have got it all right. And some are way off. But, “He that comes to Me I will in no way cast him out.” The blood of Jesus is effectual to cover all our sins and errors and to “save to the uttermost.”
Both islam and mormonism lead people away from God Almighty, for me that issue is eternal.
The elevation of either is a soul killer.
