I despise this arrogant pos
It actually looks like he insulted the coordination between the Bush administration and state/local officials after Kaatrina. Which, to be honest, is perfectly fair - federal, state and local agencies did a horrible job coordinating their response.
He is repulsive and foul. His hubris knows no bounds.
In no universe is piddly tropical storm Isaac comparable to the Cat 5 hurricane that was Katrina.
* Romney was seen for a few seconds on a boat taking the day off. There was a brief remark on Paul Ryan and the rest of the political news was all how great and magnificent Obama is, how we really are better off than 4 years ago and a quick interview with the local DNC chapter to tell us how glorious dear leaders is for bringing us a "sustainable 21st century economy."
The whole thing was maddening.
He flies in after Romney like some savior AFTER IT IS ALL OVER (& press start asking about it) and taken care of by the governor of the state like it should be handled.
What does a junior Senator (& community organizer) from Chicago’s gutter know about ANYTHING?! Apparently nothing as we have sadly found out!
He is a snarky smartass who doesn’t realize we know he is stupid.
That isn't what happened. |
When you think the bastard can't get any lower, he digs deeper.
I caught the beginning of the convention and noticed they are all running against Bush!
This must be the talking point now - Bush bashing.
They are desperate.
On the Saturday edition of the NBC Nightly News, anchored by John Seigenthaler, correspondent Lisa Myers reported several critical mistakes made by Louisiana Governor Kathleen Blanco in handling the Hurricane Katrina crisis. The story even showcased a whispered conversation, recorded by CNN, between Blanco and an aide in which Blanco admitted she had been too slow in asking for federal troops. Blanco: “I really need to call for the military ... and I should have started that in the first call.”
Myers also relayed that when Blanco and New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin ordered a mandatory evacuation 20 hours before Katrina hit, they were ignoring the advice of experts who had warned it would take 48 hours. Additionally, Blanco was slow to get National Guard troops to restore order. A complete transcript of the story follows:

41 days to respond to the BP oil rig....he speaks
Wasn’t he an Illinois state senator at the time? What the hell would he know? I survived Katrina. The government, at least in Mississippi, did everything it could. It was akin to Nagasaki, what does Barry think was left undone? How would he have done a better job? We were without electricity, water, air conditioning, phones, the Internet, etc. with thousands dead and water everywhere. Everything withing miles of the Gulf was utterly destroyed, with few exceptions. If Louisiana had loaded those poor people on the buses and driven upstate or to Arkansas or Texas as was planned, things would’ve been much better. Any idea why the DEMOCRATS in charge over there didn’t do that?
Low life POS. The GOP needs to start personalizing this race. Put everything on the table.
The truth is that Governor Blanco refused entry of about 500 relief vehicles filled with supplies and food for about a week into Louisiana. They had to rush generators into the holding area to refrigerate the perishable food item. My cousin, who was part of the coordinating force, was furious they did this to embarrass President Bush. Zer0 knows very well what happened and chooses to stick it to Bush to remind people that his mismanagement is the source of all our problems.
While simultaneously hiding the fact he IGNORED the Gulf Spill for 6 weeks, kept foreign aid to skim oil away, held up BP for $10B without any legal basis, banned new drilling in the Gulf, gave drilling rights to Venezula and told them we would be their best customer, and finally topping it off by taking he and his SAB mooch wife for a 1 day trip to the beach to tell everyone what a wonderful job he did.....
The fact is that FEMA did take a week to get going in Katrina. It was because the local government and infrastructure was Democrat, from Nagin to Blanco. They were all words and no action. Unfortunately, Katrina demanded action, both prepatory and after.
You can post more than ONE LINE with excerpting. I despise the left-wing “Business Insider” and prefer not to give them the clicks.
I screamed at the TV when I heard that. He didn’t even blink. No mention of Blanco or chocolate city mayor Nagin.
63 days left to get rid of this repugnant prick.
That’s all Obama has...beating others down to make himself look good - false economy and liberals love it.

I want to particularly thank FEMA and the state and local authorities, because sometimes in the past we havent seen the kind of coordination that is necessary in response to these kinds of disasters.
Seems he’s dissing everyone,,,Bush, Blanco, and Nagin while tooting his own horn at the same time. So much for his “non-political” comments about Issac.
Funny, Dubya had acted already...
...in the same amount of time it took Obama to scream and whine and do nothing before actually shwoing up AFTER it was all said and done to grandstand.
He’s a complete jerk and was obviously trying to talk up the wonders of “his” federal government...while at the same time avoiding mentioning that most of those resources existed before, Bush immediately offered help to Louisiana and to New Orleans, and it was turned down by their then (Dem) governor and their then (black) mayor. They had not followed the existing emergency guidelines, and it was a crucial couple of days before hey would even ask the Federal government for resources (I think they were afraid it would make Bush look good if they accepted Federal help) and that is one of the reasons they were both replaced by the voters.
But for the Dems, there’s no point in letting the truth get in the way.
