The right rallied on Labor Day to celebrate National Empty Chair Day, a show of solidarity with Clint Eastwood after his infamous address to an invisible President Barack Obama at the Republican National Convention last week.
The action picked up steam on Twitter, where the hashtag #emptychairday began trending on Monday morning as users tweeted pictures of empty chairs in various poses.

Once when we were just playing around with clicker training (101 things to do with a clicker and a popcorn tin), I clicked my Zoe girl as she was stepping over the popcorn tin. It was right as her back paw touched the top of the tin. [click!] She was right back there trying to get the click again (tap, tap, tapping with the hind leg) and it didn’t take long before we had the behavior on the cue “boy dog” and the popcorn tin faded down to one of those little dancing flowers. Then we’d ask, “Zoe, what’s the difference between a girl dog and a _boy dog_?”” and she’d raise her hind leg...
We also were able to get her to yawn on cue.
Wish we would have videotaped that stuff. :-(
TomKat, I forgot to thank you for your tip, by the way! I appreciate it!
On Monday, September 3, President Obama has a bad chair day.
PING!
I don’t know about you, but my Chairisma is intact!
Right on, Right on, Right on....
Good deal.
This topic, all these threads have been a MUCH needed cause for laughter and inspiration. I thank ALL you Great Americans! We fight on ..!
Thanks for that link to the speech about “Shadowbosses”. I just bought that book - in fact it arrived a couple of days ago.
My question is for anybody who can answer it .. didn’t the Gov of Indiana de-certify public unions in his state ..??
I was sure I read that somewhere - but Mr. Factor didn’t include that in his list of 5 things we can do to reverse this union trend in the public sector - because it is bankrupting our states.
I have never had to belong to a union to get a job, or keep one for that matter. The closest I ever came was when I worked in Silicon Valley - during the beginning of the micro technology businesses. Originally, the companies there did a really good job of offering great pay and benefits - keeping the unions out. I suspect that may have ended, because Silicon Valley almost went bust - and I wondered if the unions had finally found a way in.
I just retired from the healthcare industry, and many of the workers there are curious about a union because they want better pay and benefits. If the healthcare industry is not careful, they will be left holding the bag.
People need to understand that a primary goal of Obamacare was forming a union which would add 20 MILLION workers - and for every million workers - the unions would receive a BILLION dollars in union dues.

These demons and their evil know NO bounds. Ocare has begun .. Just watch.
A second Obama administration will know no bounds. That includes Constitutional intrusions, nay -- invasions, that will, indeed, become "times that try men's souls."
Obama and his minions, will do anything and everything to compromise our God-given freedoms, our property, our very lives.
Of this, I absolutely, have no doubt.
Here is mine:

I really think he stopped because of the chair!
If you get that photo from 2 minutes earlier the seat will be empty. He was golfing when called in for that and looks pissed that he didn’t get the big chair.
ROFLOL! Did you do that one? Superb!
Soooooo...
Will anyone be providing empty chairs for their poling places?
That flag needs to be modernized...
DON'T SIT ON ME
I got six of those.,
