As for the Democratic National Convention, it will be the first one I skip since 1960.
Let's be honest: It has no mystery, no fights, and it's in Charlotte, N.C., which is about as far off the beaten path - or easy airplane connections - as you can get.
And when you get there, there is no shopping. The only thing to buy is bootleg booze.

Liberals simply have a personal comfort zone the size of a walnut. Everything is scary and foreign to them outside of their little concrete cities and dog parks.
I’ve made a flight connection once to Charlotte. Never saw the city but any one who doesn’t like the South - it makes me wonder why the Democrats are bothering to hold their convention in a predominantly GOP state.
