TAMPA The heat, the chanting, the marching: It was all becoming too much.
Protesters, who were scheduled to occupy companies owned by Mitt Romney's Bain Capital empire all day Thursday, were having a tough time mustering the gusto.
The plan was to start at a Domino's Pizza, about two blocks away from unofficial RNC protest headquarters Romneyville in downtown Tampa.
But after lunchtime, the tents were looking pretty cozy.
It didn't sit well with one Occupy Wall Street protester, a 21-year-old woman who would only identify herself as Ducky.

I bet most of the ‘protesters’ didn’t even know what it was they were supposed to be protesting, just show up and tote this sign and yell a lot, chant what we tell you......
Looks well fed to me........
What an awkward chant.
I remember when Newt came to Seattle during the contract with america thing. I was with a bunch of supporters and we were facing off with a couple hundred protesters. The guy next to me had a “pocket trumpet”. It was the tubing of a full sized trumpet but really short. I got him to play the tune to “All we are saying, is give peace a chance”, and then I gave five or six guys around me instructions. We then started singing, with the trumpet, “All we are saying, is give Newt a chance.” It went viral through our crowd. It was a hoot.
It was a good chant.
Looks kinda like Woodstock.
Probably the closest thing to a bath they had in days.............
A young girl going by the name of "Ducky" uses chalk to make art and political messages in the Romneyville protester camp on the second official day of the Republican National Convention in Tampa.
A protester calling himself Vermin Supreme shouts at police in riot gear on the second official day of the Republican National Convention in Tampa.
It is what obama want America to look like in a few years..
Elizabeth Arce, of New York City, NY, uses rainwater coming off of a tarp to shower Wednesday afternoon at the Occupy encampment called Romneyville in Tampa.
Looks like the rain of the Lords nature kind of dampened their spirits.
Hang on. The police are giving food to protestors?
I wonder who paid for the food, and for their time.
Oh right.
Well...welcome to August in Florida!
Umm, a boot belongs on a foot, not a head. I think this picture sums up the level of sense in the Occupy movement.
So, these geniuses of planning didn’t know that it would be hot and humid in Florida...in August.
.............”Romneyville has other problems. Over the past four months, at least 30 people, mostly the homeless, have been booted out of the camp for violating a policy of no drugs and alcohol.
“We need to help (the homeless), but we’re a political homeless camp,” Wright said. “We need to maintain decorum.”
On Tuesday, an argument broke out between two campers. Scuffles and fights are not uncommon, residents said.
“This is like herding cats,” organizer John Alexander said. “You’re working with disparate groups, trying to find similarities among them.”
Gaylen Hall, an activist who visited the camp Tuesday, said the heat and humidity could be influencing how people act.
“And people are getting only about three hours of sleep in less than ideal conditions,” he said.
Tarah Colon, who is living in Romneyville with her 11-month-old son, said she also has experienced problems living there.
“Someone stole our money,” she said. “If we don’t raise $200 ... we won’t be able to pay for the vans” to get home.
Then there’s the state of the camp.
Several of its trademark pink tents that first garnered Romneyville recognition were ripped to shreds by summer storms over the past few months, Wright said.
With no new donated tents, 30 people sleep under a flatbed trailer on the property that should have been used as a stage for speeches, Wright said.
The camp has no running water, and its makeshift kitchen is running low on food. Residents have hung up wet clothing on a rope strung between two parking meters, or draped garments over a barbed-wire fence.”........
