Around here, donkeys are kept to watch livestock. They will absolutely KILL coyote and wildcats. We can’t have one as our dogs are too curious and might try to make friends with it. What a terrible way to die.

The same way one just killed the mayor. They’re pretty territorial and don’t tend to run away from trouble they can kick into submission instead.

I find it interesting that Mayor Bohlke is described as a “South Texas” mayor. Hollywood Park is an “enclave” of San Antonio on the north side of town by the 281/1604 interchange. Atascosa County is south of San Antonio, home to the Poteet Strawberry Festival. I wonder if the copy writer saw Atascosa County (where the late mayor owned property) and automatically assigned the term “South Texas,” since that descriptor is rarely given to areas north of San Antonio.
Either way, sad news, and not a good way to go.

Yes. You won’t find coyotes hanging around a cattle herd that has a couple of burros protecting it. Their hooves are deadly — and the little critters bite, too...

Fake? I’m usually good at spotting such things, but... What evidence of fakery do you you see?

I read several years ago it was a fake. I imagine you can find something about it on the internet. :)
