Robert Gibbs: Angry night full of insults By: Kevin Cirilli August 29, 2012 12:06 AM EDT
In Tampa to lead the pushback for President Barack Obamas campaign, top adviser Robert Gibbs said Tuesday that the first night of the Republican National Convention was angry and strange and full of insults.
Im kind of flabbergasted at the whole night, Gibbs said on MSNBC after Gov. Chris Christies keynote speech. It seemed first and foremost like this was a very angry convention tonight full of insults.
He said that the nights speakers, including House Speaker John Boehner, did not capture the struggles most Americans particularly women are facing.
It bore just no real resemblance to whats going on in their party. It bore no real resemblance to whats going on in the country. I think it was a very, very strange night, he said, later adding, The night was sort of highlighted by lots of anger and lots of insults.

When did Gibbs stop attacking GOP women?
Im kind of flabbergasted at the whole night...
Cold, hard logic has that effect on idiots!
First, for him to actually comprehend what was going on, he would have had to have pulled his nose from Obama’s ass. Secondly, what fruitcake organization hired him to provide commentary with credentials of a failed press secretary for the Emporer?
And that was just dinner with Obama, Jarrett and Bill Daley!
RACIST!
Uhh....I would like an investigation into Mr. Gibbs for “ghost employment.” It seems he is paid by the US Taxpayer, but he is clearly engaging in political campaign activity by these comments. It’s a pretty clear violation of the Hatch Act.
Oh, wait, I forgot. In 0bama’s kleptocracy, it’s OK. Holder said so.
Gibbs seems like a cross between Joe Goebbels and Herman Goering.
Wow. I did not think it was a night full of insults at all. I thought it was a bland night (except Santorum and Mrs. Romney speech) and not enough Obama bashing. The audience provided zero enthusiasm at all.
Misquoted. What he said was “I’m kind of a fat bastard....” Lisp thing.
Only a liberal would call being called out on their actions an “insult”. They don’t know the meaning of the word.
More focus group words.
Angry. Extreme.
This is why the gloves-off approach that consultants seem to promote simply doesn’t work. The opposition is going to call it over the top no matter what happens.
Obama needs to be dissected this week, and unless we see something different from Ryan tonight, we are going to see a gloves on...and only a moderately effective convention. An opportunity lost. I liked everything last night, but it could have been more powerful.
To bad so many people fell for Obamas crap the first time and though if they elected a black they would be cool, not so cool any more is it people who voted for the criminal.

Yeah, but I haven’t heard beans about “tax returns” since Mitt “joked” about THE birth certificate.
Like shining a light on a Vampire.
