This is one clip it pays to watch to the very end. Sarah Palin appeared on Fox Saturday evening to talk about the Tea Party and challenge the Republican Party to stick to its platform ideals, warning at one point that the GOP could go the way of the Whigs if they dont respond to the will of the voters.
She also took questions from Twitter, including one which asked whether shed run for Governor in Alaska again. (Answer: Shed rather work on policy to unlock Alaskas natural resources.) But its near the seven-minute mark when Palin expresses frustration when a viewer asks if it isnt better not to vote when one doesnt like either candidate (via the Sarah Palin Journal):
PALIN: No no no no! Please go vote! Let me ask you man, do me a favor. If this go-around you dont know who you dislike more or like more, Romney or Obama this go-around, give Romney a shot. We dont want to repeat the failed policies of President Obama. Thats insanity, to repeat the same failures over and over again and expect a different result.
Obama has proven himself that he doesnt get it, he doesnt get the free market, he doesnt get American exceptionalism, and he wont work toward that American exceptionalism. He had his chance no hard feelings, thank you for your service, Mr. Obama. This go-around, though, lets give Romney that chance.
This is an excellent answer for those Romney skeptics who still believe that sitting out the presidential race will work out as a positive action.
Palin obviously isnt passionate about Mitt Romney as a GOP nominee, which surprises no one. But she does see the practical issue of the election in clear precision.

The picture you painted for your agenda? LOL! It's all you, no place for anyone else.
ALL conservatives voted for SARAH. But that doesn't necessarily include Meghan McCain who isn't a conservative. As for Romney, my bet is he voted for Obama.
One does suppose the GOP-e thinks we simply went too Conservative last time eh!
I too have had a big picture of America (USA for me) since oversea service in WWII and especially after my brother was killed on Okinawa. I happen to believe that Akin despite his ill thought remarks also has a big picture of the USA. I believe he was/is an Army officer. His oldest son is a respected minister. He has two sons who are Marine Corp officers. He has a daughter who is due to graduate from Hillsdale College which I think of as a bastion of traditional Constitutional values. I find it very difficult to believe the man isn’t thinking of the USA and I don’t excuse him for not choosing his words more carefully. With all this said I believe rape is rape sticking strictly to a an unwilling forced act. Whether a child results is a tragic social problem but especially for the woman involved. I don’t know what my decision as to abortion would be because 1) I am not a woman let alone a potential mother and 2) if I were in category 1) I would still be as the old song goes ‘bewitched, bothered, and bewildered’. I do believe at such times a person must have some spiritual support.
Romney sucks but 0bama sucks a thousand times worse. Going 3rd party or doing a write-in will be exactly as effective as trying to change the tide by shoving the ocean. You’ll feel like you’ve done all you can, but it’ll have no effect.
I can respect your integrity about being unwilling to hold your nose and cast a ‘lesser of two evils’ vote. I’ve been there myself this election cycle. But my goal has shifted away from being ‘pure’ and toward doing the thing that will be most hurtful to 0bama’s chances of reelection. 0bama must be stopped if our country is to survive.
You're in Ohio, a battleground state, and you will throw you vote away to Obama's benefit? For shame, Pontius Pilate voter!
Ditto here. I`m not voting for a homo marriage-backing, enviro-whacko, gun-grabbing, health care system usurper like Romney.
I`ve had it with RINOs and their you-need-to-support-me- because-the-other-guy-is-worse routine. All the GOP gives in routine is a continual lurch leftward. Look, the GOP-e despises the Tea Party movement as little beyond a necessary evil that is to be tolerated at best and disdained at worst.
"Dont Get Suckered into Supporting the Republican Party" is exactly what folks like George Soros are saying. You can bet some of the biggest supporters (probably even financially if you could dig deep enough) of conservative third parties are liberal Democrats and other leftists who have taken over the Democrat Party and are busily working to take over the Republican Party. They know that dividing the vote amongst a variety of "Hey, I'm more conservative than you cause I didn't vote for any Republican" nitwits is one their most effective ways to destroy their opposition and to solidify a political hegemony.
Over the past thirty years radical leftists have taken control of one of the two largest political parties in a country where winner takes all in elections and are busily working to fracture the only opposition they have by encouraging conservatives to leave the Republican Party in the hands of RINOS rather than working to take over the party apparatus as they, the Leftists, have taken over the Democrat Party. For those who say, "Well, I'm a proud member of the Constitution Party or the Declaration Party or the Conservative Party or the Southern Principled Conservative Party of Holy Ghost Fire on the Mountain Pre-Rapture Remnant of the Real Thing Party and someday we'll be big enough to replace the Republican Party, just like the Temperance Party or the Bull Moose Party did!"
Doofuses: we don't live in a parliamentary system where representation is divided proportionally between the losers!
It's winner take all, baby, and the sooner you realize that and stop wasting time fighting like cats and Baptists to multiply the number of me-so-conservative parties the sooner you'll have turned back the liberal encroachment on the existing main opposition party to their main vehicle for political power, the Democrat Party, instead of complimenting yourself on just how wonderfully more conservative your loser party is going to be than the one you deliberately abandoned to leftist takeover."Hey, I don't like these liberal bumper stickers on this fully functioning vehicle or the places its driver is taking us, right? So, I've got, like, this great plan to deal with that, 'kay? Instead of tossing the driver out on his butt and getting some more appropriate body detailing and then driving it wherever we want to go, we're going to get out at the next corner, wag our fingers really hard at the driver as he speeds off, and then from scratch build our own new most perfectly conservative vehicle and, someday, maybe, enter that into the race! And won't that glorious day be, oh, so grand?"And you think Jesus--or anyone else--is going to say, "Well done, good and faithful servant for refusing to take back the existing opposition party and, instead, throwing your vote to something that couldn't possibly defeat a known enemy because you thought being considered a more nearly "true" conservative party than any other was more important than actually conserving and preserving the Republic against an ongoing enemy onslaught"?
Dream on.
This is one time my principles are going to have to step aside. I certainly wanted a more conservative candidate, but that’s not the way things went. Some folks prefer smarmy words articulated to them that don’t reflect reality. My choice was the guy who had created more jobs, and protected his citizens from high taxes, and actually provided a SOLUTION to health care needs by promulgating risk pools years before anybody else ever thought about. BUT NO, everybody called him a bumpkin fool. Screw you.
Now the question for me is OBVIOUSLY...do I want four more years of Owebama by standing on my principles and writing in a third party? OR, am I willing to get rid of Owebama by casting a ballot for Romney? The decision for me is very clear, because I wanted Owebama NEVER to get in the White House in the first place, and YESTERDAY was not too early to get him out of there. He’s a disaster waiting to happen and totally dangerous to Americans.
Well-written response, Aruanan. However, it boils down to the same argument as every other ABO uses: “Obama is worse than Romney.”
You don’t like the full response proving Romney to be a radical liberal, so I’ll shorten it. “There is no difference.”
I did appreciate the “Pontius Pilate” retort. It was a bit creative and requires a bit of bible insight. Most would have said, Judas.
So, for bible knowledge Two Kids gets Two Thumbs Up!
I, of course, would have chosen the Apostle Paul in prison for the crime of testifying to his faith.
:>)
As for Sarah Palin, she, as always is right on track doing everything she can to get the republican party straightened out.
As for Akin, I don’t agree that republicans should bow down to the hysterical left and demand his resignation, UNLESS of course they would have time to campaign a truly conservative candidate in his place and win it. The fact that Akin accepted McCaskill’s money for his campaign is really telling and puts serious doubt in one’s mind about his intentions. Unfortunately the many of us that bother to keep up with such things, didn’t get to vote in Missouri. Unfortunately the people of Missouri have elected McCaskill how many years now, and been fooled by the Marxist. If Akin per chance still wins, it means McCaskill at least will be knocked out.
There is only one vote that is thrown away, and that is the one not cast.
Some conservatives regularly make the error of demanding everything and being unwilling to accept a partial victory, while the progressives relish in any victory, large or small, that moves them incrementally closer to their ultimate Socialist/Communist/totalitarian goal.
There are a heckofa lot of voters that don’t currently understand the benefits of a small-government conservative position and we can’t bring them over to our side if we demand everything in every election cycle. If we move step by step in the right direction people will grow to understand the benefits of individuality and liberty and personal successes. But it’ll take multiple election cycles and to say “I want it all and I want it now” will serve to assure that the people we hope to bring into our tent will be alienated.
Given today’s reality I’d like to see us transition from 0bama to Romney to Ryan (or another conservative) and get and keep control of both houses of congress so our side will have the votes to undo the damage that’s been done by 0bama and Bush before him and Clinton before him, etc.
Now Onyx, Romney isn’t bad enough to shoot!
>> “Waiting to hear from some that Palin is a sell out.” <<
.
Palin is a very practical, functional politician.
The loose cannons want her to be one of them, but she is always looking for the political solution.
I wasn't going to vote for Rombag until he chose Ryan. Then I realized that if enough people refused to vote for Rombag because they hate him ( do loathe him), we will get four more years of Satan and Hitler combined. As loathesome as McCain is, I don't think any sane person would say that we would be as down the cesspit with McCain instead of 0kaka. Getting Rombag in there gives us time. With four more years of 0kaka - which really means his handlers - hardcore commies/muzzies all - we won't have time to fix anything (except maybe bayonets at some point).
Gov Palin has finally come out and endorsed Romney. Now I know whom to vote for.
>>You dont like the full response proving Romney to be a radical liberal, so Ill shorten it. There is no difference.<<
FReepmail me with the name of the theater nearest to you that is showing 2016 and I will buy you a ticket. Seriously. I will front the money for you to go.
Because you need an education. I’m not being nasty, I’m being truthful. If you see Mitt as the same as BO, you are clueless as to their upbringing and motivation. There is a major different between a Mormon RINO and an Anti-Colonialist, Marxist who is actively working to destroy our country.
The movie will explain it to you.
Mom, I’d hate to take your money to no avail. 2016 is a depiction of Obama and not of Romney. I already believe Obama to be deceitful and unacceptable.
The movie is not about Romney, who I also believe to be deceitful and unacceptable.
As is pointed out by his insistence on RomneyCare, and by those who are having a war in the rules committee to prevent Romney from totally cutting conservatives out in the future, you need to have your eyes opened about how THEY are saying that Romney is making moves that will make it NECESSARY for conservatives to have a 3rd party because they will no longer be a part of the republican party.
He will not get my vote. Nor will Obama.
However, so I’m not misunderstood, I do think your post and your offer were gracious and friendly.
Have a great day!
I’m a Romney skeptic; I don’t like him. But I do not believe he poses the dangers to this nation that Obama does. If Satan had a candidate on earth, he would divide his enemies and make them fight against each other.
How do you call Romney a radical liberal (which is what Obama is) when he and Obama differ on so many important issues where the President is actually involved?
Romney believes that financial industry is over-regulated
Romney wants the wind production tax credits to expire.
Romney opposes Cap and Trade;
Romney is pro domestic energy;
Romney wants to appoint USSC justices who will overturn Roe v. Wade
Romney wants to repeal the Dodd-Frank law;
Romney wants no new gun laws.
There’s many more examples - These are all BIG differences between the candidates, which you selectively ignore! Radical Liberal? Oh, please wake up!
If you still put Romney in Obama’s political niche, your objectivity has died.
