They were apparently lifelong lovers of abortion before it became inconvenient politically.

Romney has NO principles

Thanks, your post reminded me it was on. It was outstanding. It will replay at least a couple of times. It actually was very soothing to watch.

“Romney is a technocrat, who thinks the right bureaucratic solution can solve anything.”

Thats true, and it’s why i view Romney as a stepping stone. We need to use him ONLY to move us away from Obama, and then move on to someone better than Romney. We should not make the mistake of thinking he is what we “want”. He is merely a step towards what we want. Every step needs to move us farther away from central planners. Romney is a less virulent follower of that idea than Obama.
Obama passionately hates America and us, Romney doesnt.

It’s childish to think we have to win to perfection in one election.
It reminds me of Hitler, always thinking that one magic weapon could undo all the setbacks in one fell swoop, rather than address the meat and potatoes of a long hard grind.

Yes, agreed. Each election at the best is only a step.

And a step away from Obama’s second turn is vital, however flawed Romney is.

I respect your opinion here on FR, and I'll my own two cents ...

I've worked for the last year in an executive capacity with a mid-sized professional firm, and Mitt Romney strikes me as the kind of personality you'd find in a successful CEO-type capacity in corporate America. This kind of person usually comes across as rather distant, somewhat calculating, and a bit contrived. They keep their professional associates at arm's length and don't get to know them very well because there's always a concern that personal relationships would get in the way of "doing the right thing" for the sake of the organization. These people tend to be very mission-oriented rather than people-oriented.

Most of what I've said here probably reflects negatively on this type of person, and I guess that's the real shame of it ... because behind the scenes these folks can often be very, very decent -- even virtuous -- in ways the public never sees.

For the record, I've never been a huge fan of Mitt Romney. I'm on board with him in November, though -- for the same reason I'm 100% behind the CEO who runs my own company. I'll follow someone like this if he's effective, exudes confidence, and has proven results. And for all the legitimate complaints about his track record, one thing I can guarantee (I'd almost bet my life on it) is that there isn't even a hint of personal/family scandal in Mitt Romney's background.

Four years ago I was a Romney supporter because Romney was the un-McCain.

This year there were others in the field that looked more conservative in this neighborhood. None of them could get enough traction. That is normal for candidates I support.

Romney sounds pragmatic. I hope he is. Ann Coulter says he is conservative but has to sound liberal in Massachusets. I also hope she is right.

If a more conservative candidate emerged in a third party, even one of the people I liked earlier this year, I still would vote for Romney. No third party candidate will win...none...never in my lifetime.

I don't think the United States will survive four more years of Obama. It may already be too late.

This year I'll take a chance on Romney. I'll do so with enthusiasm.

“Or march you away on a one-way trip to a “reeducation camp”, “

Has Romney said he will cancel the FEMA camps? Don’t remember that...

Yes, well said. I swore I wouldn’t vote for him, but his actions are good ones. Of course we won’t know until next year, but at least he’s fighting, and at least he’s fighting smart. If he keeps this up, I’ll vote for him, with hope that he’ll do what he’s signalling he’ll do.

It's getting SO repetitive and boring, all this never-ending gurgitation by the anti-Romney's......."I'm so confused and angry but I don't have a choice"......."He wasn't my first choice, but"......"I can't stand him but I'll hold my nose"......."He's the worst thing since Jack the Ripper, but it's anyone but Obama"......

These duplicate, copy-cat, tedious mantras are worn like hair-shirts around here on just about every single campaign thread. WE KNOW ALREADY HOW DISCERNING YOU ARE, WHAT GREAT PURE CONSERVATIVES YOU ARE, HOW MUCH IT PAINS YOU TO SUPPORT ROMNEY, WHAT THROES OF CONSCIENCE YOU'RE EXPERIENCING, WHAT JACKASSES AND COMMIES WE WHO DON'T HATE ROMNEY ARE, HOW YOU WILL HOLD HIS FEET TO THE HELL-FIRES IF HE'S ELECTED, blah, blah, blah, over and over again.....HOW MANY TIMES AND FOR HOW MANY MONTHS DO YOU FEEL COMPELLED TO POST THE SAME DANG DISCLAIMERS MULTIPLE TIMES ???

WE GET IT, ALREADY. WE GET IT THE HUNDREDTH TIME AROUND, ALREADY!

So please, for once and all, won't you spare us your ongoing personal agonies and perpetual angst over the stomach-churning, unhappy lot in your political life..........and JUST SHUT UP AND VOTE ON NOVEMBER 6TH!

Hear ye, hear ye. No truer words were every spoken. Gets truly tiresome hearing the same complaints said in 500 hundred different ways so that each can avoid plagarizing their fellow “angst”ers with the same old tune. Humorous almost, if it weren’t so tedious.

And, if enough adopt that strategy, conservatives will be screwed for eight years, not just four, and end up right back where we were at the end of the Bush Presidency with Democrats in control of the White House and Congress.

You know Kazan, Mitt wasn’t my first choice either and I am a Mormon. But both your posts are crazy stupid. I am a Conservative. I would liked to have had someone else for my president, but when you compare Romney to Obama, there just isn’t any comparison. Romney, despite how his political philosophy differs from yours, it a good and decent man. The same cannot be said for Obama. So do yourself a favor and vote for Obama, because ll this “standing up for Conservatism bullshit” in the face of the realities of our current situation is pure stupidity and not voting for Romney is just about the same as voting for the Zebra!

Up until recently I was a “nose-holder” and still have those moments, but I’m less worried than I was and find myself cheering him on- he’s not taking Obama’s BS and he’s willing to fight- something John McCain was unable or unwilling to do.

I have a sneaking suspicion we’re going to be pleasantly surprised..just as we were by the choice of Ryan.

The fact that so many people must hold their nose again is really sad. We have a man who, with the help of the gop, cheated in the primary. If you want proof of his and the gops cheating, just ask and I'll post it. Do you like having someone use you for your vote and make promises he had no intention of keeping, because unlike many of the other primary candidates he is no conservative, but a liberal? If you voted for someone else in the primary, he stole your vote and now you're looking for a way to make him fit into your value system. He lied about being a conservative and we all know it. Will we accept a liar, thief and liberal because he has a R behind his name? Are we willing to compromise that much?

The gop has managed to scare you, just like the liberals scare their voters; the world will end if -—— is elected. He said he was 100% pro-life and traditional family. He's already changed his mind (like many knew he would) and is ok with the murder of innocent babies because their dad was a criminal, and for gay adoption. If it appears he is not winning, what will he have to say to give the left?

We keep hearing Mormons are “so nice.” So is the devil when he is tickling our ears. Remember, the anti-christ is not just someone who will come in the last days. There is the spirit of the anti-christ who leads us away from Christ; he comes as a person who will save us from great trouble but leads us to eternal death. Only God can help us now & if we look to a man who endorses sin, to save us from Obama, we are not only not trusting God, we are helping this nation accept more and more sin. I think romney will allow gay marriage, like he did before and blame someone else (if you want proof I will post it) and do nothing to help the pro-life cause if he is elected.

So what will be the next thing we will have to accept from the left, if they know we will keep compromising? Didn't Nancy Pelosi & Katie Couric and other leftist march in the gay parade, in which they allowed NABLA to be part of? How about the leftist who think parents should be allowed to kill their babies after they are born because it would be a hardship on them? The left are evil and will find more and more evil things they want to allow in this country. When we put a line in the sand and keep moving the line, we may as well not have any lines.

The GOP is moving the party left with Romney; we can say good-bye to the party of Reagan, because we won't see it again. This country is like the frog in hot water. Romney moved the line and the gop will see they can push whatever candidate they want on us because we are willing to vote for corrupt (but seems very nice) candidates. We did this once with McCain and now it's even worse. At lease he was not a full blown liberal. If we keep accepting the gop’s hand picked liberals this country will be in full boiling water. We already are feeling the heat from the leftist groups.

God called us to not be part of the world. How can we tell democrats who say they are pro-life and against gay marriage that they are giving power to that person to do what they know is wrong & then we have it in our own party. We will lose all credibility. When we accept someone who thinks sin should be in our laws, and vote for them, we will be just like the left, and we are responsible for allowing that sin; that blood will be on our hands. I know I will be creamed for this posting, but I just wanted people to think about what Romney and the GOP are doing to the country. I know, what are we suppose to do? First tell me if you think God would be ok with Romney.

Not possible, Mom. At least not in a candidate sense. I doubt I'd ever meet the man, but I'd probably think he was an OK neighbor.
