Missouri conservatives rally to Akin, blast Republican “establishment”

(Reuters) – Missouri conservatives say they are rallying around U.S. Senate candidate Todd Akin despite his controversial comments about rape because they are outraged that “establishment” Republican Party leaders tried to railroad him out of the race.

A backlash has set in here in Akin’s suburban St. Louis congressional district, where supporters said the national party had no right to attempt to force out a duly-elected candidate.

Akin is an idiot. Just because the MSM say he’s a jerk doesn’t mean he isn’t. Any other Republican can beat McCaskill but Akin cannot.

COME ON. YOU KNOW women have claimed RAPE after having consensual sex, Or after they became pregnant. This whole issue is about the use of the word LEGITIMATE, because it implies women would LIE. THAT, is the unspoken reality of this. THAT WORD is what is being objected to. Not whether women who are raped can or cannot get pregnant, but on WHETHER WOMEN LIE to COVER UP the reason for a PREGNANCY, and whether they would CRY RAPE so that they can get the government(meaning YOU and ME) to pay for their ABORTION.

We’re on a roll with Romney/Ryan ...about to take the presidency, the senate, the house and the supremes. These stakes don’t get higher and we got a good shot at running the table.
We can win the senate without Akin but the repubs cannot allow another like him.

Make a friggin example out of him so any repub who even THINKS of breaking goofy and fng this up knows whats in store. Cut every dime and delete him from everyone’s phones.
If he does happen to win no office, no chairmanships. He can sit in a bathroom stall all day and prattle on about how he’s God’s chosen candidate.

The problem with Hannity,Laura Ingraham, Beck and others is that they all get measured against Rush. Few measure up.Try and put yourself in Hannity's shoes. The guy never stops working.He goes from radio to tv back home to collapse and go to sleep and then repeats it over and over.

Truth is you don't keep an audience second only to Rush Limbaugh simply by following him. Does Hannity have some aspects of his show that others would do differently? Of course.He uses to many of the same people over and over and may not cover the issues you want him to cover.

Bottom line he is the number two broadcaster in the country possibly the world and he gets my respect.

What really irked me about this Akin business, is Romney calling for him to step down! Romney? Here’s what I think about that... since you can’t pull ahead of obama in the polls and it looks like you are following the way of Dole, and may very well lose to the worst president we have ever had including Carter..I think you should step down Romney!! We need a nominee that can win. Can you imagine obama asking Newt Gingrich for his tax returns? Newt would chew him up and spit him out. It really is ridiculous that we are about to get stuck with this loser when any of the other GOP primary contenders (well most of them) could beat obama hands down.
