Todd Akin: That Rasmussen poll showing me down by 10 points is great news
Doug Brady I’m beyond speechless. What is this guy drinking? Stacy Drake, one of my fellow C4P editors, summed it up best in an email:
Who knew Baghdad Bob moved to Missouri?
With that, via Jim Hoft, anyone who goes to Todd Akin’s website will have the privilege of reading the following pearl of wisdom:
St. Louis, MO: The following statement was released by Perry Akin, Campaign Manager for Todd Akin for Senate, in response to the Rasmussen poll released this morning: “The fact that Claire McCaskill is only polling at 48% after 72 hours of constant negative attacks on Todd Akin shows just how weak she is. If she can’t break fifty percent after a week like this, Democrats should ask Claire to step down. Todd is in this race to win; we will close this gap and win in November with the support of the grassroots in Missouri and across America.”
This is an example of the breathtaking ignorance we’re up against, folks.....

Less than 50% for McCaskill. I guess that is good news given the attacks over the past few days since Sunday.

Agreed. With the kind of conservatives (friends) that I read on these posts, he sure doesn’t need any enemies.

Of course, the answer is write-in campaign that will assure McCaskill wins by 25 points.

With all the crap that the Rats, the MSM, and the GOP-E have thrown at Akin, McCasket’s polling number only went up by 4 points, per Rasmussen.
That’s weakness.

Yea, great news if you live and die by the polls. I don’t trust polls and this guy shouldn’t either. Looks like Missouri is stuck with this damaged goods guy that probably will fire off some more major gaffes before Nov 6th. Too bad that he’s going down and taking a lot of good people with him.

Something told him if he becomes a senator hes set for life. His kids are set for life. His grand kids are set for life.Give me a break. He's a fighter. He fought against the GOP establishment to not pass stupid bills like the sequestration with automatic defense cuts. He is fighting for his seat so he can continue bringing conservative Tea Party values to the Congress and not be replaced with a RINO or a weak-willed pushover.

Diagnosis: Messiah ComplexThat's the good thing about Christ's example. He taught us to stand up for what's right even in the face of the most severe persecution. That's the definition of courage, something the GOP establishment is sorely lacking in.

I’m so so sorry, I didn’t mean what I said, please please forgive me. I’ll lick you boot if you let me be a Senator.

I am beginning to think some do not like him since he is very strong pro-life. Some cannot balance pro life to a strong conservative policy builder. It's one way or the other for those people. People are bringing up slams like God is making him stay in. He's selfish (guess they are all pure, all knowing) and that he wants to stick it to the Gop-e-Well, don't we want tough people to stand up for us. His voting record outweighs his gaffes. Those folks on that site should not be too quick to condemn him. Alot of us defended Palin when the Couric got You interview harmed her. I may have to rethink some things after Palin’s interview on Fox because I don't understand why she is doing this. I am pretty much her number one fan in my family. This entire thing has been badly handled.

I do not think I've witnessed anything quite like this. The pounding has been relentless. None stop. He must emerge from the gauntlet first, and I do not see how. He is like a sailor at sea, ordered to "repel boarders" and no one is on deck to help him.
What's next? CNN claims Todd Akin was driving Ted Kennedy's Oldsmobile?

He’s shaping up to be another Christine O’Donnell.
And is his campaign manager related to him? The same last name suggests that.
To: smoothsailing
Akin is more delusional and more moronic than I thought just yesterday.

How would you know? Are you a senator? Only a fool writes about something he knows nothing about, and you know nothing about this.
