With that, via Jim Hoft, anyone who goes to Todd Akin’s website will have the privilege of reading the following pearl of wisdom:
St. Louis, MO: The following statement was released by Perry Akin, Campaign Manager for Todd Akin for Senate, in response to the Rasmussen poll released this morning: “The fact that Claire McCaskill is only polling at 48% after 72 hours of constant negative attacks on Todd Akin shows just how weak she is. If she can’t break fifty percent after a week like this, Democrats should ask Claire to step down. Todd is in this race to win; we will close this gap and win in November with the support of the grassroots in Missouri and across America.”
This is an example of the breathtaking ignorance we’re up against, folks.....

It’s not ignorance. Dick Morris always says if an incumbent isn’t above 50%, the undecided rarely breaks for them. So he is simply following the Dick Morris rule that says he’s likely to pick up the undecided vote by the time election day rolls around.
This controversy and huge media focus obviously has him pushed down as far as he could possibly go. He’s got nowhere to go but up from here.
It was a profound statement on your part when you said the the guys with the nets will be coming...They’re needed now.

I now understand why the Rats wanted,and still want,this clown on the ballot.They’ve seen his psychiatric report.
The fact that his son is his campaign manager is all you need to know about his candidacy.
He was never ready for a prime time professional campaign.
I guess they want Palin’s pick some kinda bad. It’s
crazy to pile on, Imo. Let time help in case he does not step down so we have a workable chance.
Akin is the drowning guy who turns away the Coast Guard in a hurricane because God will save him.
Why ANYONE puts ANY stock in ANY poll at this stage is utterly beyond me. Many here are just like the Rats, parsing and picking polls that they like, claiming oversampling, etc.
I guess nothing else to do.
