Stopped by the newly opened Chick-Fil-A in San Jose, CA. Business was steady at 11:30 and line was just out the door. No protestors. Got my lunch is less than 10 minutes. Staff was truely up-beat and excited about serving the public.
Will be back next week.
What food do you recommend?

Got in line at 12:40, and I’m just finishing up my meal (@1:35). About 8 protesters are on the sidewalk behind the entrance. Fries were not, chicken sandwich was cold, but I’m sure that’s due to the crazy nature of the day.
What food do you recommend?”
Chicken strips, waffle fries and yummy peach shake.
I’ve never been to Chick-Fil-A before so did not have chance to try everything. Ordered the Spicy Chicken Sandwich. I was good. No fries, trying to lose another 10lb by mid-Sept. Already lost 10lb. and fast food is not generally helpful. Wanted to support the cause.
I work about two blocks from it...gonna try some tomorrow. :) The only other place I ever have run across the chain is while on a trip to India.
I happen to be walking up just as 5 Rainbow Men showed up with a pro level video camera and mike. One guy was wearing a hat with a plastic trout. WTH? The first thing I hear from these clowns, " O.K. who wants a xxxxmeat sandwich".
Obviously, mentally disturbed individuals. They milled around a few minutes then left to get reinforcements, I guess.
I'll come back for food when the lines go down.
Nobody goes there, it’s too crowded...
They had a lot of coverage on the local news last night showing all the folks camped out there, they had a special for the first 100 customers, they get a free sandwich a week for one year.. If I’d only known.. wifey told me about the free thingy.. we’re going to go on a recon mission there soon if we can make it by the wendy’s and arby’s. ;-). The online menu looks good,,
:-)
Thanks for your suggestions. I’ll try some of them when Chick Fil A re-opens in New York City after the summer.
In this part of the country, there is ONLY ONE Chick Fil A and they happen to be located in New York University’s public cafeteria, which is closed during the summer.
The speaker of the NYC legislature, Christine Quinn ( who is gay and recently “married” to her partner), is trying to force NYU to evict them for what the CEO said.
Thus far, NYU has not capitulated ( hopefully they won’t, otherwise, I will have to drive to NJ just to be able to savor your recommendations ).
I love their classic sandwich and their nuggets with their BBQ sauce. The Polynesian sauce is good too. Fruit cups instead of waffle fries if you are so inclined and great lemonade and peach shakes.
I’ll need something to eat before I head out of town tonight. I just might swing by...
