It was an error for the Republicans to bring in New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie as the key speaker at their convention. While all of the excitement and adventure in politics in the last three years has been among conservatives, Christie is the great, faithless bet against conservatives future and a futile attempt to institutionalize the past. At CPAC events these last three years, up to 40 percent of young conservatives yearned for Ron Paul and Judge Andrew Napolitano; STATES RIGHTS, SOUND MONEY AND CONSTITUTIONAL GOVERNMENT. The other 60 percent the National Review crowd, the neocons, the Bush apparatus, the entire Eastern Conservative Establishment could think only of former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush. Christie is their front man, as animated and clownish as a carny barker at the Dixie Classic. Going into the future, conservatives hold all the cards. But they chose the past. Obviously, they should have chosen former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin as their lead speaker.
Sarah Palin told Greta Van Susteren on Fox last night that she would support a third-party run in Missouri. Not by accident this announcement comes as the Republican convention opens in Tampa, Fla. Like Romney, she misses nothing. Since Palin and she was the first came to the aid of Doug Hoffman in NY-23 in 2009, there has been a positive division in conservatism, which will grow and mature in our century. She is the natural leader of this new direction. In time we will see current economic liberalism disappear entirely. It lost its essential economic purpose when large-scale manufacturing left America and America became a place of smaller businesses. It left Democrats with only the most ephemeral lifestyle and cultural issues.
This shift in economy brings a maturity of economic purpose and is a historic shift. If the last century and a half was represented as a proxy fight between Marx and Keynes, the next in America will be between Keynes and Hayek. Two or three years ago at the CPAC events, the Hayek direction Ron Paul, Judge Napolitano, Texas Gov. Rick Perry, Sarah Palin took the initiative. Chris Christies trickster dance in Tampa will not send it away. If Obama wins this year, Palin will lead (against Christie/Bush) in the Republican primary in 2016. If Romney wins and yields to the tradition (which he will because his life is stuck in 1972) Palin will bring a challenge.
Key here is we are at a generational shift as large and vital as that of the 60s, but it is a conservative shift. They just didnt get the memo yet in Tampa.

Go Sarah!
A real conservative who knows how to win. She’s got 2010 to prove it.
Hope she’s on the phone with David Limbaugh.

The writer is right about Chris Christie. Unfortunately Palin is wrong about a third party bid in Missouri. While I think Akin needs to go, advocating a third party bid by Sarah Steelman is misguided. We’ve seen what third party bids garner. In addition Steelman is reportedly very squishy on Conservatism.
As for Palin being the leading opposition to Bush/Christie in 2016, a whole lot of people were saying she would be the leading opposition to Romney in 2012. We don’t know what Palin is going to do in 2016.
If past indicators mean anything at all, neither does she.

I think you’re right. Romney and the GOP-E are ignoring her, to their own peril. The idiots have yet to realize they need her voters, like us.

Quite apparently or even obviously, the GOP-E committed itself to Romney early on which meant no money for Palin or anyone else in 2012. It was his turn, after all.
I have little doubt that should he win, she will be all over him like stink on _hit, every time he strays. She made it very obvious that he was her least favorite during the primary season.
Until this election's outcome is known, I'm sure Sarah Palin has no idea about her 2016 plans, let alone us or this writer!
Regarding MO, I think that guy, Akin will eventually drop out, and from what I've read, none of the primary challengers are eligible to run: (sore loser law). A brand new candidate would have to be selected.

Quite apparently or even obviously, the GOP-E committed itself to Romney early on which meant no money for Palin or anyone else in 2012. It was his turn, after all.
I'm not convinced that if Palin had won the primaries, the GOPe wouldn't have supported her candidacy.
I have little doubt that should he win, she will be all over him like stink on _hit, every time he strays. She made it very obvious that he was her least favorite during the primary season.
Yes, but Sarah herself strays. That's why I cannot support her. She did a radio interview several years ago where she basically proceeded to describe a plan where she would register illegal aliens so they could stay here and work. Now Obama has only opened that opporunity to a portion of the illegals, and folks here are upset about it. I don't want Obama or her to do it. What is she going to do when Romney announces his plan to do it? Take him to task? She can't.
Until this election's outcome is known, I'm sure Sarah Palin has no idea about her 2016 plans, let alone us or this writer!
Okay, then talk about her 2016 plans are premature aren't they. We agree on that. The writer of this article made some claims that he/she shouldn't have.
Regarding MO, I think that guy, Akin will eventually drop out, and from what I've read, none of the primary challengers are eligible to run: (sore loser law). A brand new candidate would have to be selected.
I personally hope he does. I know a lot of folks disagree. A new person may need to be floated. I have read some of the things you have, and it looks like that will have to come to pass. If so, perhaps Palin can join with others and get that person major attention.

The linked article states, “In time we will see current economic liberalism disappear entirely” because economic changes have “left Democrats with only the most ephemeral lifestyle and cultural issues.”
That won’t happen anytime soon. Regardless of who wins this year, 2016 will see liberals urging higher taxes on the rich and conservatives urging entitlement reform and spending cuts. The only difference will be that, if Romney wins, Republicans in Congress will be more muted about their conservatism, because they’ll follow party loyalty and not criticize the Romney administration.
As for Sarah, she might run if Romney loses this year. Given that she didn’t run this year, in an open race, I can’t see her challenging a Republican incumbent.

Two words: Lisa Murkowski. It’s been done.
