Justice Department officials joined a whistle blower lawsuit and alleged that The Gallup Organization, a major polling firm, intentionally overestimated the amount of time it would take to complete a job for the government and was paid accordingly.
Contractors who do business with the federal government must honor their obligations to provide honest services and products, said U.S. Attorney Ronald C. Machen Jr. in a statement on the lawsuit. Working with relators and federal investigators, we will do all that we can to act against those who illegitimately bill the American taxpayers.

Looks like Eric Holder hasn’t liked the recent polls. Time for some homestretch intimidation!
Sorry, but only a fool would believe Holder and his joke of a Just-Us Department.
100: Holder, shove it up your smelly Obama.

What’s the diff between Holder and a t*rd?
Thinking, thinking..........
must have conducted a poll that did not contain the ‘right’ data results they wanted
The bucket.
My crystal ball says I see Obama poll numbers increasing.
Very bizarre action. So close to elections.
These Chicago thugs are so transparent.
G must have neglected to grease the right federal palms.
Yep, exactly my first thought.
Gallup polls are about to go very south on Obama. There’s a need to discredit the firm ASAP.
My God, we are turning into a banana republic complete with a dictator who threatens anyone who says things he doesn’t like...like the truth.
Talk about a “kill the messenger” moment. If you don’t like the message, start eliminating people until you find someone who will tell you what you want to hear. Worked just fine for the soviets, now holder gets to try the idea out.
Yah, I got that same crystal ball. Intimidation towards Gallop to help influence the election. With all the things going on, the Justice department sure seems to have ticky tacky priorities. Maybe very calculated in this case though.
What do you want to bet that Gallup wanted to contract based on a time and materials basis, and the DOJ insisted on a lump sum arrangement? Now that Gallup performed for lower costs than estimated, the DOJ doesn’t like the Lump Sum payment deal they contracted for?
That’s usually how such disputes originate. One party doesn’t like the deal they coerced the other into.
100: Holder, shove it up your smelly Obama.

“Whats the diff between Holder and a t*rd?”
No difference! And see my tagline!
Too late! Now Gallup has an incentive to help Romney, so that he can squelch the probe.
” - - - the federal government must honor their obligations to provide honest services and products, said U.S. Attorney Ronald C. Machen Jr. in a statement on the lawsuit. “
When that happens Mr. Machen, that will be the first time, EVER!
