Elmer Gantry...I hadn’t thought of that, but you’re right.
It’s a pity that it’s not just Elmer going down, though. He wants to take us all with him. Either that or his ego is so huge he doesn’t realize we exist.
Someone needs to run w a huge bag of gold coins to this nut and get him out of there.
Nope. He's completely NUTS. He doesn't have a clue that he has absolutely ZERO chance of winning.
Repub Party needs to send truckloads of cash to Sarah Steelman and run her as a 3rd party candidate. This Akin clown is never going to do the right thing and drop out of the race.
Christine O’Donnell would be doing better than this freak show.
It's amazing how the StuPublicans went from a sure Senate seat to the Second Battle of the Somme in two weeks.
When Palin made the call in Missouri, Oromney and his minions should have heeded her, instead of trying to teach her a lesson.
Nice lesson, Mitt - "don't crimp abortion dynamite caps with your side teeth".
“How can this guy keep babbling about principle when he accepted so much campaign cash from the democrats to begin with?”
Here’s a story:
An atheist smartass was making fun of an old woman for believing in God...even though she was poor and barely had enough food to eat. She told him God always provided everything she needed.
One day, the atheist noticed that her cupboards were bare. He dicided he would prove to her God did not take care of her. He went to the grocery store and bought the finest steaks, fresh bread, everything needed to feed her for a month.
He then snuck up and left the goods at her door. He rang the doorbell and jumped behind the bushes to watch her, so he could spring the truth on her.
She found the groceries and began praising God for his provision. Knowing this was his cue, the man jumped up to take credit.
“God did not provide those. I bought them.”
“Sometimes, God uses devils to do His will,” she replied.
The moral: It is far better those libtards gave him the money than to his Demoncrat opponent.
I think the vast majority of women, liberal or conservative are terrified of this guy’s comments. My very religiously conservative mother said she wouldn’t vote for this guy in a million years.
He’s done damage to himself and for some unknown reason, he continues to insist on doing damage to himself and the causes he claims to support.
One of my closest, dearest friends was raped at 18.
It still bothers her at 55.
I don’t think the first thing on her mind was “at least my body is keeping me from getting pregnant”
He won the primary.
Has anyone brought a legitimate complaint against Akin?
Not only that, they need to dedicate money to attacking Akin the same way as they would a Democrat. Let voters know that the GOP is not supporting his candidacy in anyway/shape/form, marginalize him to 3rd party status basically.
He’s proven to not be of sound mind and he’s putting himself before the country or the party, all bets are off at this point and they need to isolate him to the maximum.
How about that he is clinically psychotic?
To the calls...
There was a recent study that showed what he said was legit. Sean claimed that study was debunked. All that shows is that scientists can be wrong.
They have, but his body had a way of shutting it down.
Gold isn’t going to do it...this is his calling now and he wants to be a martyr.
At 5PM if he hasn’t stepped aside the MO GOP should announce who they are supporting (solid pro-life) on a write in basis and proceed to crush this clown after another 24 hours for Akin to try and get the hint.
Tie him to McCaskill and the $1.5 million spent on his behalf, get Ryan there ASAP to get on stage with the new candidate and make the guy an asterisk in the election.

Yes, congratulations, an open primary where he received extensive funding from Democrats because they knew he was bat$^^% crazy.
That’ll be a nice memento when McCaskill is back in the Senate, blocking Romney’s nominee to the Supreme Court.
The guy (and many others here at FR) can’t distinguish between principles and politics. They are two distinct things. Akin is the most stupid politician I have ever seen. Just because he lays out some religious BS doesn’t mean he is not a moron.
He won the primary in a three-way split, with Rat funding, since they knew he would be an easy dope to beat.
