Years, and sometimes decades, pass between my visits to movie theaters. But I drove 30 miles to see the movie "2016," based on Dinesh D'Souza's best-selling book, "The Roots of Obama's Rage." Where I live is so politically correct that such a movie would not even be mentioned, much less shown.
Every seat in the theater was filled, even though there had been an earlier showing that day, and more showings were scheduled for the rest of the afternoon and evening. I had to sit on a staircase in the balcony, but it was worth it.
The audience was riveted. You could barely hear a sound from them, or detect a movement, and certainly not smell popcorn. Yet the movie had no bombast, no violence, no sex and no spectacular visual effects.
The documentary itself was fascinating, as Dinesh D'Souza presented the story of Barack Obama's life and view of the world, in a very conversational sort of way, illustrating it with visits to people and places around the world that played a role in the way Obama's ideas and beliefs evolved.
It was refreshing to see how addressing adults as adults could be effective, in an age when so many parts of the media address the public as if they were children who need a constant whirlwind of sounds and movements to keep them interested.
Dinesh D'Souza's own perspective, as someone born in India who came to America and became an American, provided a special insight into the way people from the Third World often perceive or misperceive the United States and the Western world.
That Third World perspective is Obama's perspective, D'Souza demonstrates in this documentary, as in his book and it is a perspective that is very foreign to that of most Americans,..

Drew is yet another first hand witness to Obama’s Marxist background that Obama has tried to cover up. It's also interesting that no one can come forward, or at least hasn't so far to distance Obama from these beliefs.
Unlike Dr. Sowell who's admitted his Marxist beliefs when younger and then denounced Marxism Obama has remained silent which in my view means he was a Marxist and still is.
Thanks, there’s no doubt illegals are a huge threat and I’ll note that film.
Sowell’s a good man. His early experience with Marxism has given him insights into dealing with that monster - and that’s a help to all of us. God bless him.
Does anyone have a schedule for this movie? Specifically is it coming to RI, MA or CT? Is it available online?
If you google “2016 the movie” it might give you a local schedule.
Also, a schedule/locator is on the official site here:

I think they really would be OK with working the rice field as long as “that rich guy” had to do it too.
Thanks!
I don't agree. I think the useful idiots would be dead of starvation or shot for counterrevolutionary activities the moment they showed their worthlessness.
...D'Souza calls for the American right to build a traditional values coalition with what he calls "traditional Muslims,"......[D'Souza] asserts that in order to cement the necessary alliance with these "traditional" Muslims, "the right must take three critical steps. First, stop attacking Islam....
Conservatives also must also "stop holding silly seminars on whether Islam is compatible with democracy. In reality, a majority of the world's Muslims today live under democratic governments -- in Indonesia, Malaysia, India, Bangladesh, Nigeria, and Turkey, not to mention Muslims living in Western countries. There is nothing in the Koran or the Islamic tradition that forbids democracy.' And 'if they want Sharia, let them have it." Of course, even if most Muslims today do live under democracies, to assume that this means Islam is compatible with democracy is like saying that most Russians loved Stalin's reign of terror, since they lived under his regime for so long.
But that is just a small example from one of the most poorly reasoned books I have ever read....
“How is it that Leftist like Obama can not see the clear evidence of the tide of history is with capitalism. Capitalism brings the most prosperity to the most people.”
Simply because all The Massiah cares about is what HE can get. He doesn’t give a rat’s rectum about the rest of Holder’s People after they leave the voting booth. He doesn’t give a rat’s rectum about ANYTHING other than himself. Just look at all his adoring acolytes who pay $35K for a dinner with him - he makes an appearance of less than 10 minutes, then goes off to eat a quiet dinner alone with Valerie Jarret. Talk about a ship of fools.
Nice try, troll. Now get back under your bridge.
Are you in favor of the D’Sousa policy of making a deal with “traditional Muslims” in the hope that they’ll kill you last?
Like I said - get back under your bridge, troll.
Yet, government agencies in Canada have provided viewings of Al Gore's “masterpiece”.
Er... not seeing an answer in that post. “Yes” or “No”?
I saw the movie, Mr. Sowell is right.
We saw this. Very well written. As usual an excellent job by Dineesh D’Souza.
They dont see that if they got their wish, they themselves would be in the rice fields right along with those rich people they hate.
I don’t agree. I think the useful idiots would be dead of starvation or shot for counterrevolutionary activities the moment they showed their worthlessness.
What you say is likely the true truth, and what would happen. But the useful idiots never see themselves as useful idiots, nor do they see themselves as useless idiots. Nor do they believe that good socialists would even put people out into rice fields, unless it was punishment for being rich, in which case it would be justified.
He does see it!
Leftists simply cannot afford their subjects knowing how capitalism truly benefits all who embrace it because if it is known, their subjects would no longer "need" them.
