President Obama weighed in on the national storm surrounding by Rep. Todd Akin, calling his comments "offensive."

This is starting to have Mark Foley feel to it. One idiot is starting to go national to our detriment. Time for him to be forced out.
Wonder what gave you that idea?
But is rape, rape rape?
Ask Whoopie.
You know he was jumping on that band wagon.
No, Qwerty, I do not believe women give up control of their bodies when they marry. However, you must remember that the two become ONE spiritually (at least that’s the belief in my religious tradition). It is never okay for a woman to be physically assaulted (sexually or otherwise) by her husband. However, let’s say a woman’s hubby comes home a little drunk and she rejects his overtures. He holds her down and forces sex on her. Ordinarily, she might not refuse him, so in this case he has forced her against her will. Should she divorce him now? Should she press charges against him? Should she beat him over the head with a cast iron skillet? Should she get counseling? I don’t know what is right in this situation. I do know what the husband did is wrong. Yet, if you think this can be equated with an unknown assailant breaking into this home and raping this woman, then I’d say I disagree with you on that point.
