The other day, Newsweek had a cover story about Mitt Romney's "Wimp Factor."

The article's devastating. The accompanying, dreary B&W pictures, taken by a Newsweek photographer, are even worse. In many instances parts of each are deliberately under-exposed, giving an overall impression of gloom and doom descending on the campaign. Taken alone, the article's bad enough for the Illegal, but could be written off as one man's opinion. However, the gloomy pictures are the authorized, institutional product of Newsweek itself, just as the cover is the magazine's institutional product. Looks like the Illegal's in real trouble with his lib base and the Clintons have the knives out for him.

We know Newsweek hates traditional Americans... why would they do this? It's strange ... I see it as a form of insurance in case Obama gets the boot in November.
And Newsweek wouldn't feel a need for insurance if they were still confidant Obama would win reelection.

Wow! Hard to believe.
My wild speculation: Maybe the Dems will nominate Hillary/Biden at their convention because they know Zippy is unelectable for a second term. Remember the meeting last week that Hillary attended and there was all the buzz about whether they’d dump Biden for Hillary? She said no. Maybe because she wants the top spot.
There are no machinations within the Dem party that would surprise me.

NO, NO, NO, NO, NO!!! Romney is just as bad and the RINO must be defeated. We will stick to our principles. We will get 67 in the Senate and convict him in an impeachment trial. (so say some FReepers) Many of us abhor most of Romney's social positions. But we would rather vigorously fight him in office and try to change his mind rather than commit national suicide. The Frankenstein monster that is the embodiment of the Kenyan marxist father, communist Frank Marshall Davis, domestic terrorist Bill Ayers, and America-hating "preacher" Jeremiah Wright has to go. Can he go right now? Biden is stupid and would do less damage over the next 5 months.

As for the arguments of the piece? Basically that Obama has failed on the economy and failed on the deficit, and that the vision of Romney and Ryan is the only thing that can save us now.
Really? It doesn't say "Hit The Road, Barack. We Need A New President: Hillary Clinton"?

Niall Ferguson is from the UK, a writer for the Telegraph, and is more sympathetic to conservative issues than he is liberal.

US tycoon Sidney Harman buys Newsweek ‘for a dollar’ in 2010
91-year-old husband of congresswoman Jane Harman rescues struggling US current affairs magazine. He died in 2011, so the Democratic congresswoman owns it now?

I expect his editor is going to ask him to do a piece on the Fort Macy Park, with pictures, preferably at night.

I have been predicting a nervous breakdown for Zippy for quite a while. Maybe it won’t happen until after he loses. He has always seemed unstable and he seems to be getting worse.
If I had to bet, I’d bet he was heavily medicated most of the time.

Tina Brown -- limousine liberal par excellence -- is the editor-in-chief of both Daily Beast and Newsweek.
