A new bill that’s the first of its kind has opinion hotly divided in California, this time over whether parents can be banned from trying to “cure” their gay children. Senate Bill 1172, which would prohibit all “sexual orientation change efforts” for minors, is through the legislature and slated to land on the governor's desk in September.

I don’t what “young people” you are talking about, but the young people I know are not in the gay movement at all.
They think homos should stop bothering people with their seuxal problems. No one cares what they do with their butts in their own homes. They don’t want to be bothered with it. They think it’s stupid.
When gay sex activists try to impose their problem on society and try to socially and legally engineer their problem at the center of childhood homo education (aka sexual grooming)and society, that has to be rejected. Then you are named a hater by those leftist ignoramouses who think they very important sexually toughie people standing on the high moral ground in a town called Sodom.
I love the idiots who compare re-organizing marriage around their sexual pleasure to the racial civil rights movement. We need to arrange society around drug addicts and all the rest of the minorities (misfits) too. Too bad.
Churches don’t have to affirm homosexual behavior any more than they have to affirm stealing, wife cheating, or drug addiction. Christians should not hate the people but they must not join the idiots who name the sin good so that the sinner feels good about himself while he basically kills himself. Religious freedom gives the homos the right to start their own sodomy centered religion. They can celebrate the short lifespan and the many diseases their god has created for them. They can screw in the bathrooms, too.

What is often missed in this controversy is society absolutely CAN NOT allow a "behavior" to be accorded the same status and protection as a civil right.
Doing so would absolutely negate the concept of responsible "citizen" and relegate people to the status of cattle.
If people can not control their behavior, they have no basis by which to demand self-governance in the political sense.
I hope so. Don't want that mentality affecting Colorado or Texas any more than it already has.

“The Gay Report” issued in 1974 (authored by two “gay” guys whose names escape me at the moment) determined that the vast vast majority of men who struggle with homosexual tendencies were either molested, had a absent or insufficent relationship with their fathers or were relentlessly teased during their formative years. In short, “gays” are made (recruited) not born.
