Move over, Paul Krugman. Someone's taken your place as the most extreme advocate of excessive government spending.
On today's Morning Joe, Columbia prof Jeffrey Sachs actually criticized the Obama administration for "shrinking" government too much. Trillion dollar deficits as far as the eye can see? Peanuts compared to what we Sachs wants us to spend!

I know this sounds incredible, but this Ivy League professor actually thinks government under Obama isn’t big enough. Ping to Today show list.
To guys like this, being the most wrong is good for business. MSNBC may give him his own show.

I believe this is the same schmuck who cannot distinguish Rosie O’Donnell from Eva Longoria.
Hm. Almost makes you wonder where The Earth Institute gets its money.
In the universe of lefty professors these guys are pikers.
UMass’ Richard Wolff is out there with a dog-and-pony show making the case that “Capitalism has FAILED, so why not cut to the chase and just scrap it?”
The parasite probably lives on government grants...
Good God Almighty, what is this guy smoking??
Trillion dollar deficits as far as the eye can see and government isn’t big enough? Liberties restricted by Obama with new regulations issued every single freakin’ day - and government isn’t big enough?
The only thing I will agree with him on is that both parties have put us on a path that is bad for the country.
This is what’s teaching your children in America’s institutions of higher education.
This guy’s a clown. I’ve seen him speak and his smugness is really a challenge to share the room with. His hand gestures are hard to see because he’s got both arms contorted behind his torso, patting himself on the back.
The answer to this is so easy.
The Professor and his ilk know for a fact that the major impediment to global Marxism is the USA and therefore the USA has to be collapsed and the easiest way to do that without firing a shot is the Cloward and Piven strategy of piling on so much debt on government at every level it has to collapse.
Once the collapse takes place and people start to starve, they will beg for something to change and that change will be Marxist communism.
