Comedian Steve Martin once quipped, I believe that sex is one of the most beautiful, natural, wholesome things that money can buy. Sadly, combatants in the war on women seem to agree with Martin, except they want others to pay for their sex at least the contraception.
Last week, Georgetown law student and contraception activist Sandra Fluke led the battle cry at a presidential campaign rally in Denver. She argued that without the controversial government mandate requiring employers to provide free contraceptive services, women would lose control over their health care choices. In post-rally interviews videotaped by Caleb Bonham, of RevealingPolitics.com, Fluke's warriors insisted that government stay out of their bedrooms. When asked why government should pay for what goes on in their bedrooms, the flummoxed women had to Think Again.

We should pity poor Sandra. Too much Flucking takes your mind off your studies. I would’t be surprised if Sandra were still a student at age 45, but she’d have (in her mind) a helluva great time.
Liberalism = You pay for my “lifestyle.”
Yes, and a little more broadly,
“you pay for the consequences of my choices”
I think she’s 30 something already...
She’s no 19 yr old college student like they were trying to play her off as.
I would venture a guess that Fluke, as a good progressive far leftist, does care. She is very much in favor of this outcome so that the only source of health care will be ultimately be the government.

The entire article is well worth reading.
I think the author of the quote you posted doesn’t understand that the whole point of these policies is to destroy the role of Christianity in our society.
Just a random thought.
Excellent article.
The contradiction (free choice) is a simple one, why doesn’t the ‘progressives’ see it? They must suffer from such horrific migraines trying to resolve this.

If female contraception is provided free under the “preventive care” portion of Obamacare, shouldn’t they also be paying for condoms for men?”””
I think there is more to this problem than we are seeing:
Since Obama wants all children up to the age of 26 to be covered by their parent’s health insurance, which comes from the employer——isn’t this ‘demand for contraception’ covering females as young as 11 or 12 with birth control pills???
IF there are 50 million females in the USA of child bearing age & the cost of the pills is about $25 per month or $300 a year, this makes the cost of the pills alone $15 BILLION annually. $15 BILLION !!!! Why should employers underwirte social behavior???
That is the cost of the pills—not the PREMIUM to cover such costs.
This isn’t a gamble on the part of the insurance companies—such as whether you will braak your arm or something....it is a GIVEN.
These women ovulate every month. The pills are taken all year long.
I would never have even dreamed of asking any of my employers to pay for my birth control pills.
The attitude of entitlement which we have bred into Americans under the age of 40 is just astounding!!!!
IF you cannot afford to buy your own birth control pills every month——keep your legs together!!!
Exactly. For some reason, sex seems to be the only self-indulgence it is taboo (from the perspective of the left) to suggest is wise to limit.
