The Washington, D.C. Office of Human Rights confirmed that it is investigating allegations that Catholic University violated the human rights of Muslim students by not allowing them to form a Muslim student group and by not providing them rooms without Christian symbols for their daily prayers.
The investigation alleges that Muslim students must perform their prayers surrounded by symbols of Catholicism e.g., a wooden crucifix, paintings of Jesus, pictures of priests and theologians which many Muslim students find inappropriate.
A spokesperson for the Office of Human Rights told Fox News they had received a 60-page complaint against the private university. The investigation, they said, could take as long a six months.

Gee. That’s like going into a Krispy Kreme donut shop and demanding that they not have to be exposed to Krispy Kreme donuts. - They can GO TO A MUSLIM SCHOOL. - This is ignorant.
Georgetown says it covered over name of Jesus to comply with White House request.
Why would they have to do that if Obama were "Christian"?
Muslim values are a violation of human rights.
Why is it that the muzzies always have to bitch? Why should they even want to attend a Catholic university when so many good non-denominational are available?
I hope these universities show their Catholicism and don’t give in, else their alumni should withold any financial contributions.
If I hear one more thing about muzzie rights being violated, I will PUKE! If you don’t want christian symbols, DON”T GO TO A CHRISTIAN SCHOOL, you scum bags!
Thanks. I looked for a resolution of the lawsuit, but I missed the fact, the article is clear though not explicit, that the action was taken by an attorney absent any complaint from Muslim students.
An easy solution would be for them to go to one of the many fine universities in the countries where Muslims have already displaced or murdered all the Christians.
I guess that Jesuits have ceased to see the connection between the name of their order with that of the Holy Name of Jesus.
I am sure that St. Ignatius of Loyola is one chagrined saint.
As pointed out by a couple posters, it appears the lawsuit was filed by a law professor, but not based on any complaints by Muslim students. The article isn’t explicit about this. It appears the issue here should be the attorney rather than Muslim students.
Catholic universities aren’t very Catholic any more.
Heck, I’m beginning to think they aren’t even Christian.
However, even at that low state, they still should KICK THE MUZZIES OUT ON THE MOHAMMEDBUTTS.
NOW!
Apologies for the caps on the previous post, but Islam really p*sses me off.
I no longer have any regard for that religion...or for those that tolerate it.
:)
Interesting. So the quote “ ... which many Muslim students find inappropriate,” was written by a lawyer on his own with no input from Muslim students? Arrogant, presumptive, and ultimately damaging ... wonder who he is voting for?
They do the bending here, not the school. Shame on them. Tell um to go tear apart another country if they don't like the fruits of freedom hard won here in America...ie...the freedom of a university to stand on it's own foundations.
They can take their prayer rugs and pray in their dorm rooms...spoiled jerks.
I hope so?
Here’s a simple solution...
Christian Colleges DON’T ACCEPT MUSLIMS!!!
Sorry for yellin’.
Only in the sick mind of a wannabe mass-murdering delusional muslim.
On the other hand, the insistent presence of a militant muslim in a Catholic university violates the integrity of a non-political institution.
If you don't like the Christian ambiance, just stay the hell away. Go study in Damascus!

If you don't like the Christian ambiance, just stay the hell away. Don't apply for study in OUR country.
Go study in one of your hell holes, like Damascus!
