Matthews: Ryan Wants To 'Screw' The Poor
NewsBusters ^ | Mark Finkelstein

Posted on 08/14/2012 6:00:27 AM PDT by governsleastgovernsbest

On Morning Joe today, Chris Matthews exposed the ugly face of class warfare politics at its most primal.

Matthews claimed that Paul Ryan wants to "give" money to rich people but "doesn't like" people who depend on government, and indeed, as a conservative, wants to "screw" them.

“ I have to tell you, you know, it’s part of reporting this case, this election, the feeling most people get when they hear Barack Obama’s speech. My, I felt this thrill going up my leg. I mean, I don’t have that too often.[29] ”

Can’t speak for Paul Ryan, but I actually like and care about poor people. What I hate is POVERTY.

The leftists and fake liberals evidently place a high value on Poverty, since they do everything they can to create more of it. Without poverty and dependency, how would the left get votes (excluding fraud)?

That “tingle that ran up” Chris Matthews’ leg, may in fact, turn out to be one of the beginning symptoms of peripheral neuropathy, a progressive degenerative condition of the nerve function of the legs associated with impaired circulation.

That's Chrissy alright, a "progressive degenerate".

Chris Matthews plays the class-warfare card against Paul Ryan

And he does not even play it very well. He sounds like a screaming child throwing a tantrum here.

The intellectual dishonesty of the mainstream media is kicking in to high gear now.

I think it’s finally dawned on a bunch of these arrogant a**es that Obama really could lose this, and they are going to do EVERYTHING in their power to make sure that doesn’t happen.

In the 2010 mid-term elections, the legacy media shilled for each and every Dem candidate, local, state, and national. Their candidates lost in unprecedented fashion.

A “shellacking” it was.

Shouldn't this cause us on this side of the political divide, to begin to realize that perhaps the vaunted media has lost its power to persuade? The media played “gotcha”, they omitted key facts, they distorted Republicans’ statements, they editorialized, and they manipulated headlines.

They still got bludgeoned.

We seem to be surprised that the Obama smears on Romney haven't really taken hold. Should we be?

The main-stream media had sold us in 2008 on that bill-of-goods that Barack Obama turned out to be. Is it not possible that the media completely squandered its credibility in doing so?

We have subscription numbers and Nielsen ratings that prove that statistically the main-streamers are hemorrhaging customers. Can we not conclude that their viewers and readers are merely hard-core leftists who crave confirmation for their warped worldview, and would be Obama voters anyway?

I’d bet my net worth that Ryan has given more to charity, both in terms of percent of income and in total,
than Mathews has,

even though Ryan is much younger than Mathews.

It’s a pretty safe bet with most liberals that any conservative will be giving a higher percentage of their income to charity than the liberal.

And, when liberals do “give to charity”, it’s usually for something only other rich liberals benefit from, like “the symphony” or “the arts” in general.

To paraphrase think Sinkmeister:
No “arts” “ever fed a hungry child”.

With the trillions spent on them and the crime/murder/misery they visit upon productive people, the poor SCREW this country for more than anyone screws them.

Actually, ensuring the long term viability of Medicare and possibly introducing some variation in Medicare payment based on means testing helps the poor, as I understand that is what Ryan’s plan does. Also, reducing taxes and spending across the board and encouraging a prosperous private sector also helps the poor, by giving them jobs.
