This isn’t 2008 with a stupid elderly man plus an inexperienced lady. It isn’t even 2004 with a doer-but-not-communicator plus a guy already painted as Darth Vader.

Both Ryan and Romney are ten times better at communicating & debating than Obama, Biden, Bush, McCain, and Cheney... combined. They got asked about tax returns and Bain Capital on last night’s 60 Minutes and they managed to pin it on Obama successfully. My jaw was hanging open.

Whatever your opinion of the ticket, this isn’t an year to fear debate performance, no matter the moderator or questions.

DEBATE MODERATORS

Certified members of the Obama Reelection Committee. Like the GOP debates, this will not a substantive debate. It will be a farce designed to minimize damage to Obama. Obama has that "What me worry?" look on his face.

I’m not sure if it’s arrogance or stupidity that makes the GOP think their brilliant answers will be able to polish that turd of a question.

Your confident exuberance is encouraging, on the surface of it. But my knowledge and experiences regarding how media have minimized the effectiveness of Republican candidates point to the same outcome as always. It's the media's show and not meant to be for the benefit of sincere viewers.

In a perfect world, the moderators would be:

Jim Lehrer Rush Limbaugh
Candy Crowley Sarah Palin
Bob Schieffer Fred Thompson
Martha Radditz Michelle Malkin

If the 0bamunist Ministry of Information Networks want a complimentary camera to broadcast the proceedings to their dwindling numbers of viewers, the GOP can waive the customary access fees.

It doesn’t matter who the moderators are because they all give the questions to the Democrats before the debates. Even with that, Joe Biden can’t seem to give sensible answers. I think that Romney learned his lesson about the coordination with the Democrat party when Stephanolpolous asked about contraception. He’ll be ready for that type of question.

I’d rather see him demand - up front - that each candidate get to pick 2 moderators.

I would rather that each debate have two moderators, with each candidate picking the moderator who will ask questions of the other candidate.

as usual, the GOP team allowed themselves to be set-up for ‘gotcha! questions and softballs to Obama.

When you keep seeing incidences such as this you can only come to the conclusion that they are, as I have stated, the corrupt Two-Party Cartel.

Don’t have “confident exuberance.” I don’t think they’d win the election if it were held today, just yet. I think they took a big gamble in turning this election into an ideological battle, one which outcome is not clear till later.

I’ve watched Romney debate quite a few times and Ryan destroy & deflect tough questions even better than Romney can. Simply recognizing that these are both scary smart men who think on the spot and can deliver a perfect answer.

If the media tries their usual sheningans of asking outdated socon gotcha questions or scandal-centered questions, they & Obama will be the ones tendering their wounds. And trust me, these guys cannot be “controlled” by the moderator or debate flow.

I live nearby Hempstead and have driven through it a few times recently. There are good areas but many more bad areas.

My gosh. I was just beginning to imagine the Romney Campaign had stopped taking their RINO Stupid Pills. Obviously, I was wrong.

The lamestreamers only left out Joseph Goebbels.

He'll be there, too (reincarnated in Candy Crowley).

And the GOP will just go along to get along.

They never fight the things that seek to destroy their chances to win, whether it be debates, primaries, or voting.

It’s so obvious that the moderators were picked because of their leftist views and support of Obama.

The GOP continues to let democrats and the media pick their candidates by and large, what with open primaries.

How foolish is that to let democrats vote in GOP primaries?

Only allowed by the republican party to show their self destructive nature.

The refuse to fight against voter fraud, re ACORN and millions of non citizen voters.

The GOP lets the democrats, liberals, leftists, and media run roughshod over them, with nary a peep out of them

I wonder if Romney will pull a McCain and state that Obama would make a fine president, and there is nothing to fear from him?

Just as I was becoming optimistic over Romney's choice of Ryan, the Romney campaign replicates the brilliant strategies of McCain, Dole, and other losers. Oh well, four more years of Obama.
