CBS Still Claiming Obama's 'You Didn't Build That' Was About Infrastructure

Incredible. CBS News has an anti-Romney "fact check" article up this morning supposedly debunking statements made by Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan during yesterday's introduction of the veep pick. At the end, CBS actually snuck in the hyper-partisan, DNC-talking-point assertion that it was "clear" that when President Obama utttered his infamous "you didn't build that," he was talking about "teachers and infrastructure."

CBS claims that in criticizing "you didn't build that," Republicans "seized on only part of Obama's quote." In fact, it is CBS itself that edited out another, most telling, part of Obama's comments. The network omitted the following Obama lines which make irretrievably clear that he was indeed disparaging the achievements of entrepreneurs.

Reading the media quotes over the past several years reads like Best Korea media. They chop and edit and filter and present it as truth.

He also said THIS, “If you’ve got a business — you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen.”

He IS saying that you didn't build your small business, yourself. There is no getting around this. This was a MAJOR mistake for Obama. Not a “gaff”, because he actually believes it. A mistake because he is showing his socialist views for all to see.

The whole segment from Obama's speech is much more damaging than any part taken 'out of context'. Major snark all the way. I'd paraphrase it as follows.

"Those guys with all the money think they're hot sh** 'cause they think they've worked so hard and started some business. Big Whup. Lots of people are smart and work hard but The Man been screwing 'em out of their fair share. Stick with me...I'll grab their money and give it to you...we're going to spread it all around and even things out".

How does CBS explain away his disparaging remarks toward small businessmen-also said in the same speech—that in effect, “successful business people think they’re smarter and work hard” because, Obama said, “there are a lotta smart people out there...and they work hard too...”

AND every industrialized country has roads and bridges. Why has America been the most successful? It is from our work ethic. It is from experiencing and acting on the American Dream. Obama hates this country. I researched him in early 2008. I told my Leftist friends that he was nothing but an empty suit. I told my Leftist friends he would either make the world a more dangerous place or he would allow it to become a more dangerous place. He has no conscience. I knew he would try to bring the country to it's knees but I am in shock at the breathtaking speed with which he has been able to accomplish his destruction. I did not realize that the rest of the Dems would be so complicit in the destruction. I honestly thought there would be some Dems with a conscience that would block the worst of his agenda. Working in the health care industry and seeing all the regulations required already, I am fearful we won't be able to turn back the tide. May John Roberts rot in ****. I really thought, when Americans pushed back against Socialized Medicine, that this Admin would step back like Hillary! did. When they went forward at full steam, I knew we were doomed. Pray that we can retake the Senate and the Presidency and start the healing. In our lifetimes, this is our last chance.
