The Talk Shows
August 12th, 2012
Guests to be interviewed today on major television talk shows:
FOX NEWS SUNDAY (Fox Network): Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz.; Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-Fla.
MEET THE PRESS (NBC): Former Gov. Tim Pawlenty.
FACE THE NATION (CBS): Stephanie Cutter, deputy Obama campaign manager; Eric Fehrnstrom, adviser to Mitt Romney's presidential campaign; former House Speaker Newt Gingrich.
THIS WEEK (ABC): Pawlenty, R-Minn.; David Axelrod, adviser to President Barack Obama's campaign.
STATE OF THE UNION (CNN): Axelrod; Ed Gillespie, Romney campaign adviser; Sen. John Thune, R-S.D.
Exactly the game is not to mention anything they did but always keep us on the defense. If they succeed its gets close. If they don’t we win in a landslide. Either way we kick their sorry ass.
MTP Panelist [didn’t get his name] wants to see how soon the velocity of Dem attacks on Ryan happen this week.
[Duh! Try YESTERDAY. They were already rampant.]
I did not know this.
Indeed Medicare Advantage plans are very popular where they’ve been tried. I know that there was talk when Obamacare was debated that Medicare Advantage would be dropped.
Medicare Advantage is a fine example of how much better the private sector controls costs with a result of better service.
But Obama and the libs, they want nothing less than total gubmint takeover of health care. What better way to control your sometimes snarly citizenry than having the power of health, life and death?
In fact, now that you mention it, I think Ryan’s plan is essentially a larger, more empowered version of Medicare Advantage. Only Ryan wants to totally eliminate gubmint run Medicare so that those eligible MUST choose between what will likely be many offerings of Medicare Advantage type plans.
Just tell those already on Medicare that the system they are on will remain so long as they need it. In due course I’m betting, should Romney/Ryan get elected, even those scared seniors will eventually go over to a private plan offering. But older people don’t want sudden and abrupt changes in their status quo so the campaign needs to deal with that.
Some of the best systems for dealing with these matters came from a common sense Republican backed legislature.
401k’s and IRA’s were one of the best systems ever offered, also COBRA. I don’t know why that awful Soptic man didn’t get COBRA for his wife. It’s the law for God’s sake.
Husband and I paid COBRA to his employer for two years until his Medicare kicked in.
Course you got to pay for it.
Oh there’s plenty of workable, even desireable solutions. Problem is trying to figure out how to offer it all for free with no self-discipline on the part of the participants.
That’s what the Dems want to do.
They sure don’t want to go to the American populace and admit that they screwed up and spent their payroll money. Better they blame the Repubs for taking it away from them.
Lowry absolutely nails Madow!! She refuses to answer why she supports 700 Billion cut out of Medicare while criticizing Ryan. TV candy!
SU
Ryan tells Crowley about noodling.
[Did she get a tingle ... uhhhh ... nevermind]
Catfish, that is.
Good catch Tom. DNC Dave did his best to bring up everything he thought the regime had to counter for the week as his donation to the communist kabal. This included how Romney kills former employees, etc. etc.Axel didn’t like it and had to constantly interrupt dnc Dave showing who was really in charge of the interview.
Isnt he suspended from CNn for plagerism???
Isnt he suspended from CNn for plagerism???
All of us for the next three months need to tell friends, associates, checkers at the supermarket, etc that Romney/Ryan will SAVE Medicare for those already on it or nearing it. Obama will Bankrupt the Entire System. Any Medical care will become Very scarce for the elderly!
I’m stumped.
There is no MTP here....the Olympics.
I thought the olympics were over?
A payroll tax “gut” of SS is more like it. But, yes that’s it.Much more to it than it seems.
Democrats are using the SS tax, money intended for Seniors, in hopes of economic stimulus, when they had no intent of improving the economy with other real tax cuts or the deficit spending they felt entitled to.
Axlerot: He’s so rotten he probably disgusts even himself and he’s trying not to throw up, hence the burping and holding it back.
Also, my father used to stick a glob of peanut butter on the roof of the mouths of our dogs. The dogs loved it (came back for more) and he got a kick out of watching them licking and licking at that peanut butter till they got it loose or licked it away.
‘Rot looks like he’s always got a glob he’s working on, licking and licking.
Sunday (today) is the final day.
I posted this on FB. Great article. Thanks.
Completely exposed what a total hypocrite Madcow is. Her argument that she wasn’t running for President was as weak as it gets, what an embarrassment and revealing to all of the Obamamedia.
They need to sell Ryans Medicare plan, or any suggestion to overhaul it, by preceding every such conversation with a big warning that no changes will effect anyone over 55 years of age.
Agree. Keep it focused, and simple.
Also point out that the choice proposed for a changed system is very similar to that enjoyed by congress today.
Heard this on Fox this AM by the former head of the AMA.
He repeated it at least 3 times so must feel its a selling point to focus on .
Impressed me that he wanted to reveal the hypocrisy of politicians who want to enjoy the best of both worlds, while telling us we are in danger of losing something they screwed up.
So good it had to be repeated girlene great job! ..........................................................
Sen. Ron Johnson on CNN just roe fat candy apart!!! He took all her candy away from her and then wadded up the wrappers and tossed them at her! He was a a phenom!!
Olympics have another week.
I was surprised that MTP showed here.
I think they have the video online around noonish at MSNBC.
