The top 25 are posted at the link. Here is their summary of the top 10 most conservative colleges and universities:

BS;if Hillsdale isn’t on this list then it is bogus.
“Isnt Church of Christ the one Obamas pastor belongs to?”
NO! THat is the United Church of Christ, one of the most liberal religious bodies in the world. Ultra-liberal.
The churches of Christ have ZERO to do with them.
The church (lowercase 'c') of Christ bears no relationship in any way, shape or form to the Marxist United Church of Christ. I'm hoping that some of the good "dunking Campbellites" here on Free Republic will help set the record straight. Look at the video with Dr. George Benson from Harding I posted a few messages back.
OK I get it. The church of Christ is good one. The United Church of Christ is the bad one.
It is a bit confusing tho as most people simply call the United Church of Christ, the Church of Christ.
The lower case “c” is the giveaway.
absolutely not. Traditional church of christs are non denominational and very conservative.
At one time, I would have wondered why out military academies are not amongst those named as conservative. To paraphrase Inspector Clouseau....”not any more”
The Obamadork and his liberal minions have taken schools with much more history, importance, education and morality than Harvard/Yale/etc combined and is rapidly turning them into advanced versions of our public schools.
As soon as they can void the requirement that the academies provide a bachelor of science - and change that to the vapid bachelor of arts...the deed is done. Vapidness and mediocrity will ensue.
The academies will have lowered their standards to a state where even the Obamadorkfelonidiotcretinpieceofsh*t could 1) enter and 2) graduate.
Thanks! You even got the case of the letter right in church. :-)
The relationship between the Westboro thugs and the Baptists is nil. Likewise with the Marxists at the United Church of (ahem) Christ and the church of Christ.
Ken Starr, now president of Baylor, led the investigation of Bill Clinton is a church of Christ member as is Ted Poe of the Texas 2nd, one of the most Conservative members of Congress. Likewise for Fred Thompson and, on a lighter note, Meat Loaf.
*"I heard a rhythim, slapping sound" (Mike McQuery)
This guy?
SAY IT!!! SAY IT!!!
("Back to School" reference.)
Yes, that's one way to differentiate them. Even the buildings are very different. The liberal United Church of Christ usually has majestic, soaring cathedral-like structures. Most of the church of Christ buildings are very modest and quite a few don't even have steeples or other such ornamentation. I could also mention the difference in the music...but that's left as an exercise for the reader. :-)
I'll share this story (which I've posted on occasion here on Free Republic). Back in the summer of 2008 when the campaign was in full swing, I took a long summer vacation by car. My route took me across Texas, into Arkansas, through Missouri, Illinois and Tennessee as well as Alabama. I visited congregations of the "coC" at every opportunity for Wednesday night as well as Sunday services. I checked out the parking lot of each. There was NOT ONE Obama bumper sticker on any of the thousands of cars I must have seen. There were plenty for Palin (with the name of some other guy, the fellow she ran with).
In closing, since I'll heading to services in a few hours, everyone at my congregation is a gun owner and that includes the preacher. Woe unto the fool who tries to lift the collection plate. We carry more than just our Bibles into the building! Amen!
I agree. And I suspect the same thing happened to Christendom College, which I believe should be on the list as well. Like Hillsdale, Christendom does not accept any government money.
Regards,
I am an alum of #8! Beautiful college with fantastic views from high atop Lookout Mountain Georgia. And yes, VERY conservative. Go Scots!
well where is Wake Forest?
I doubt that it is bias. Just a need to distinguish itself from the lesser known BYU Campus in Idaho which is further down the list.
Sorry, don't buy it.
The YAF list put more emphasis on faculty, philosophy and curriculum of the institution whereas this list puts more emphasis on the political leanings of the student body.
Most likely, this is the main reason why the college lists are different, although there are some similarities as well.
Great for Covenant College - flagship college of the Conservative, Bible-believing Presbyterian Church in America (PCA). It looks like our dollars are being well spent!
Thanks, that list was good to compare between the two.
Rock operas are always interesting. Bat Out Of Hell is no exception.
Considering your faith, check out ‘Luxaeterna’ by the Brazilian band Aquaria. They’re prog/power/symphonic metal, but some of the better bands in the genre come from Brazil. Aside from that, Aquaria is a good example of sonic excellence in all areas: world-class musicianship, writing and production.
Here’s the intro and first song of the album.

Heavy Metal Fact No. 1: not all metal is satanic.
“Seventh Son of a Seventh Son” by Iron Maiden would have made an awesome Rock/Metal Opera.
I like your user name.
