A Florida woman claims that police pulled her over for a minor traffic infraction, strip searched her on the side of the road, and forcibly removed a tampon that she was wearing....
The woman... filed a lawsuit against the Citrus County government, Sheriff Jeffrey Dawsey and six unknown officers last week seeking damages....
The policeman, the lawsuit says, then pulled her over, approached with his gun drawn and put Tarantino in handcuffs while her two small children ages one and four watched...
Over the next two hours, five other policemen arrived, including a female officer, and Tarantino was frisked and strip searched twice at the side of the busy road, in plain view of passers by. During one of these searches, the female officer forcibly removed the tampon...

I disagree with your post, but please don’t ask me to explain it to you.
As a person who enjoys dry wit and sarcasm, this place is heaven on earth. Snort! Made my evening....
http://www.ocregister.com/articles/police-364905-dunn-anaheim.html latest update on the Anaheim police riots ~ which, BTW, stopped yesterday morning when the Anaheim cops, and cops from surrounding jurisdictions, finally got their act together to round up a criminal gang that’s responsible for about 99% of the stuff behind all the bad police work. They nailed 49 certified gang members. Early morning hours stuff ~ rather than just broad daylight weekend gun battles in residential districts.
To me she looks like she has been crying.
At least they didn’t shoot her, just go watch her die, like Romney would have done. /s
OMG! ROFLMAOSC!
The officer or department may have a history with the woman. In the photo I do get the impression that may be true. Pictures can be very misleading though. It does make me wonder what else her kids have seen in their lifetime though. What a mess.
On another thread they’re talking about officers that shot a dog at the wrong address, during a raid. Kids were reportedly hand-cuffed next to the dogs body.
When are these idiots going to come to the realization that it just isn’t worth the downside to conduct these no-knock drug raids?
Update: the police issued the following statement
Ref: Civil action filed on August 3, 2012, by Leila Tarantino, Plaintiff
The Citrus County Sheriffs Office wants to go on record as saying the allegations made in this lawsuit are not only ludicrous, but completely untrue. Yes, a traffic stop was conducted on July 17, 2011. The plaintiff was issued a criminal citation for violation of restrictions on her drivers license. She also was issued a written warning for rolling through a stop sign.
No strip search was conducted, and the plaintiffs tampon was never forcibly removed by any deputy.
It is the Sheriffs Office intent to aggressively defend itself against these malicious allegations.
Issued 08/10/12
She doesn’t look high to me. She looks humiliated.
I couldn't disagree more. She looks like a typical, sleep-deprived young mother who needs to run a comb through her drip-dry hairstyle, who is disgusted and shamed and mortified. There are no bags under her eyes, no edema, no skin lesions -- what makes you think she is on drugs?
So that would make it okay?
So that would make it okay?
Now that is good news!! Maybe they can train the CHICAGO PD how it is done!
OK....that’s sick....and I don’t think I could laugh any harder if I tried.
Interesting. But enough to have the case dismissed? Their tapes will have to be subpoenaed.
To complete your evening, I will pull an Obama and barbeque and eat the dog.
Make sure you complete the event with a press conference to announce that the cops "acted stupidly."
It was a WRONG ADDRESS RAID, not a no-knock raid. Then they went ahead and trashed the house even after discovering they were in the wrong house.
It pretty obvious if they pulled out her tampon she must have been marked as person who was known to be involved in the drug trade or culture...
The police seem to have disregarded her 4 th amendment rights as there at last in the article there is no probably cause...to pull her over...
Sounds like they went on a fishing expidention and came up with nothing....
I guess the police rolled the dice thinking if they found something illegal it would cover their asses but and they lost since she was clean...
